Crochet Hook: 3 mm

You may string 40 beads on to the thread ofyarn before you begin.
40 chains (crochet a bead into each chain)
Round 1: 1 chain, 1 single crochet in secondchain from the loop, then make a singlecrochet in each loop to the end. On the lastchain make a total of 3 single crochet in thesame chain. Do not turn. Now on the oppositeside of the foundation chain, single crochet ineach loop. On the last chain make a total of 3single crochet in the same chain.
Round 2: (crochet the same, continue, bothsides of the foundation chain) 2 chains, *4double crochets in the third single crochet, 2chains, slip stitch on the third single crochet,2 chains, repeat from * until the end of theround and slip stitch on the last singlecrochet from the previous round.
Round 3: 2 chains, *single crochet in front ofthe first double crochet, 1 chain, singlecrochet in front of the first double crochet, 1chain, single crochet in front of the seconddouble crochet, 1 chain, single crochet in frontof the third double crochet, 1 chain, singlecrochet in front of the fourth double crochet,slip stitch in front of the slip stitch fromprevious round, 1 chain, repeat from * exceptthat at the end of the first side make 2 chainsbefore and after the slip stitch and thencontinue on the opposite side as the samedescribe from *. Before the last slip stitch onthe opposite side make 2 chains.
Cut the thread.
