• How is the animal able to run fast ? ----- The animal does not run but walk in a clumsy way.

• How is the animal able to have superior strength ? ----- The animal does not have superior strength.

• How is the animal able to camouflage itself ? ---- The animal blend within the trees, so that they are not spotted by their predators.

• Describe any extraordinary lengths , masses , size or measurements that the animal has . ----

• An adult weighs about 20-25 pounds (9-11KG)• A young weighs about 15-20 pounds (5-9KG)

• Describe how the animal is born? ----The female takes up the birthing position with her tail between her legs. The joey is born blind and hairless. It is born from the female's uterus and then climbs up the outer fur of the female and into the upward facing pouch where it attaches itself to a nipple until it becomes stronger. • Two characteristics of Tree Kangaroos : Active and Skittish.

• Active : Tree kangaroos are active in the morning and afternoon , but in areas near human settlements they are mostly nocturnal.

• Skittish : They are much more skittish during the day so do not approach them as they will readily jump off the trunk and take off.

• Besides these two characteristic , they are also talented in climbing trees.

• Globalization => No. it is not loan to other countries.

• Commitment and responsibility => WWF (World Wide Fund For Nature) organized activities such as TRAFFIC.

• Is there any hardship that the animal encountered ? ---- People hunt down the tree kangaroo for food . People uses dog to track them down. This can cause extinction. The tree kangaroo also goes through hardships like deforestation . Some were killed by cars when crossing roads . Many tree kangaroos will lose their home. The Government has done disseminate lessons learned through a global network to support community-based conservation programs.

• What is done to help their survival?• Reducing deforestation and loss of habitat caused by

illegal logging , including support for FSC certified wood and wood products.

• Raising awareness of habitat loss and the effects of hunting.

• Promoting and managing protected areas• Reducing illegal hunting through programs such as

TRAFFIC.• WWF: World Wide Fund For Nature.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NJNlwDcbAU•

Group Reflections

We have learnt more about the natural habitats of the animals. Each of us has put in our own effort in this project. Hence, this was a very good experience for all of us.
