Treatment v2

1
Treatment V2 Sprite We feel for our alternative idea; it would probably be best to be played through the college Radio Station or mainline Capital Radio. The advert has a vast target audience which would range from a number of different people. The advert could target anyone from children to adults, as anyone can drink this drink. There is nothing within the product to stop it from targeting a certain person/audience. The correct demographics would be met through these 2 stations, as Future Skills radio would target students/teenagers, whereas Capital Radio would target families in the car. The advert would be a more formal type without the added humour. The advert would still be upbeat and happy, but just without the humour. The advert will still be scripted, and will be either learnt beforehand or read from the script during recording. This alternative advert has more dialogue within it, but won’t be much longer in length. The dialogue I have added helps advertise the product, making it sound great; especially on a hot summers day. The use of non-diegetic music e.g. lawnmowers and birds helps set a scene for the audience listening and feel like they are really there. This creates a positive vibe, as well as preventing any dead airtime. Our alternative idea would still be meeting the companies target. The advert will be heard, whether it be in the college radio or the public radio. Either way, the young adults/teenagers and families will hear it. This of course doesn’t write off the older members of public from drinking it, but I think the most sales will be from the younger age range.
