What song/artist have you chosen and why?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktvTqknDobU

We have chosen the song ‘Radioactive’ by Imagine Dragons because it reflects the image that we are trying to portray. We are trying to convey an atmosphere that is colourful, ambiguous and joyful that intrigues our target audience. The insistent strong beat will give us a continuous flow in which our concept can flourish.

Where will it take place ? How will it look? What is the story?

We have many options in where we can shoot our music video, such as:

New field – doesn’t matter if we get it messy.

Tithe Barn – pitch black, lighting.

Someone’s house – easy, practical.

We want our video to look vibrant and be something that will intrigue our audience.

We decided not to tell a story as we want to be unconventional and use disjuncture to impress our audience. We would impress them by having a video that focuses on an artistic concept that engages them.

How do you intend to represent your artist /characters?

We intend to represent the characters in our video as fairly plain, dressed in black or white. When the colourful paint/dust is used, it will stand out and convey the specific emotions that we wished for.

Who is your target audience?

Our target audience will apply mostly to teenagers because of the genre of the music, although, imagine dragons can appeal to a wide range of audiences, meaning the video should be liked by a broader group of people.

However, we want to specifically appeal to a wider audience, and we will do this by making our video simple and visually pleasing.
