If it is Shabbat add: On Rosh Hashanah we add a lot of special things to our service – prayers, activities, Shofar blowing. But when Rosh Hashanah is the same days as Shabbat, we don’t do many of these things. So, since today is Shabbat, we don’t sing some of our special Rosh Hashanah prayers and we actually do not blow the Shofar. We will be doing all of that tomorrow so be sure to come back. To mark this special time though, and get us in the mood for the holiday, let’s have an adventure – a Rosh Hashanah Treasure Hunt. Distribute the Rosh Hashanah Treasure Hunt Questions to the participants. is is an excellent opportunity to ask some of the parents in attendance for help. Now it is time for our Rosh Hashanah Treasure Hunt! We are handing out a set of questions about things used on Rosh Hashanah. I have hidden pictures of these things around the room. Over the next 10 minutes, I would like all of the children, with their parents, to try to find each of the Rosh Hashanah pictures. Once you find a Rosh Hashanah picture, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT.
