Take a hike t o Downt own Orlando Thornt on Park area and f rolic around t he Orlando Farmers Market at Lake Eola. Parking is always a drag downt own, but search t here are spot s. Most event parking sit es charge a nominal $5. If you’ve been t o Thornt on Park, t hen you already know where t he weekly farmer’s market is held. If not , t hen find Lake Eola, it is right in t hat area. Look for t he t ent s and a crowd of people. Every farmer’s market is unique t o it ’s locat ion. This market has a bit of everyt hing for everyone. There is fresh produce, food, jewelry, sculpt ors, pot t ed plant s, and a host of ot her t hings for sale. Lawn chairs are set up across a nice pat ch of grass. Picnic st yle chairs and t ables set up a nice communal area. Wit h t his being an out door act ivit y, our four legged friends are dressed and prancing around in t heir Sunday best . Conversat ion flows easily and everyone is willing t o hand out samples or chat about t heir product s. Abby’s Fresh Herbs – A great welcome spot at t he market ’s ent rance. What are you doing on a Sunday morning if you are not at a house of worship or after that house of worship? Have you thought of spending somequality t ime with friends and family in support of local art isans in a great outdoor sett ing? Take a hike to Downtown Orlando Thornton Park area andfrolic around the Orlando Farmers Market at Lake Eola.

Parking is always a drag downtown, but search there are spots. Most event parking sites charge a nominal $5. If you’ve been to Thornton Park, thenyou already know where the weekly farmer’s market is held. If not, then find Lake Eola, it is right in that area. Look for the tents and a crowd ofpeople.

Every farmer’s market is unique to it ’s location. This market has a bit of everything for everyone. There is fresh produce, food, jewelry, sculptors,potted plants, and a host of other things for sale. Lawn chairs are set up across a nice patch of grass. Picnic style chairs and tables set up a nicecommunal area. With this being an outdoor act ivity, our four legged friends are dressed and prancing around in their Sunday best. Conversationflows easily and everyone is willing to hand out samples or chat about their products.

Wandering around the Orlando Farmers Market brings a strong sense of place. This is a creative community gathering to share their variousproducts, talents, and soul. The atmosphere is light, airy, and refreshing. Seems almost bohemian and carefree. What a lovely way to spend aSunday.
