Day 1: Sunday, April 25, 2021 Santa Fe, New Mexico - Tour Begins Welcome to New Mexico, the “land of

enchantment.” Here you’ll explore

Santa Fe, a city with a rich blend of

multiculturalism, natural beauty and

profound history. Tonight, get to

know your fellow travelers during a

welcome reception at your hotel,

located mere steps away from Santa

Fe’s iconic Plaza.

Day 2: Monday, April 26, 2021 Santa Fe This morning starts with a locally

guided walking tour of Santa Fe’s

Plaza, the historic heart of the city and

gathering place for Santa Feans for

nearly 400 years. As you amble

through the plaza, enjoy stops at some

of the city’s landmark sites like the

Santa Fe Indian Market, Palace of the

Governors and Palace Avenue. Later,

embark on an open-air tram tour*

of Santa Fe and learn more about the

history, architecture, and art of the

oldest capital city in North America.

Continue on with a visit to the

Loretto Chapel, a former Roman

Catholic church turned wedding

chapel and museum. Here, you’ll find

the “miraculous staircase,” a structure

with origins as legendary as its spiral

shape. Tonight, try your hand at

making a tamale at the Santa Fe

School of Cooking and savor Santa

Fe’s fusion of Native American,

Day 3: Tuesday, April 27, 2021 Santa Fe - Madrid - Santa Fe Today, travel

the scenic Turquoise Trail to the

village of Madrid, a charming hamlet

stitched into the landscape of the Ortiz

Mountains. Once a major coal-mining

town, the village is now revered for its

thriving artistic community. Then,

visit the Allan Houser Sculpture

Garden to view 80 works by the

prolific artist who’s been lauded as

one of the most renowned Native

American painters and Modernist

sculptors of the 20th century. (B, L)

Day 4: Wednesday, April 28, 2021 Santa Fe - Bandelier National Monument - Chimayo - Santa Fe Today’s adventure takes us to

Bandelier National Monument, a

natural site where the native Pueblo

Indians settled in the sculpted canyons

and mesa tops west of Santa Fe. The

volcanic landscape holds cliff

dwellings and ruins of Pueblo villages

dating back to the 1500s. On a guided

elective walk,** you’ll have the

opportunity to discover more of the

park’s ancient ruins and thriving

wildlife. Afterwards, savor an

authentic New Mexican lunch before

visiting El Santuario de Chimayo.

Known for the miraculous healing

powers of its Tierra Bendita (or Holy

Dirt), the chapel is regarded as the

most important Catholic pilgrimage

site in the United States. Later you’ll

visit a Chimayo weaver and learn the

fascinating process behind this

intricate traditional art. The remainder

of the day is yours to further explore

Day 5: Thursday, April 29, 2021 Santa Fe Today it’s your choice! Use your

interest in confectionery creations or

in the history of espionage to help you

decide. If you have a sweet tooth, visit

some of Santa Fe’s chocolate shops

for delicious tastings of chocolate

treats infused with local ingredients

like chilies, pinon nuts and lavender -

OR- channel your inner James Bond

and opt for a tour featuring Santa Fe’s

major spy hangouts; discover drop-off

points where KGB spies exchanged

top-secret information during the

Manhattan Project. This afternoon,

enjoy free time to further uncover

Santa Fe on your own. Perhaps you’ll

visit some of the colorful art galleries

sprinkled throughout the downtown

area. Tonight, experience the lively

scene on Canyon Road as we walk to

our farewell dinner at a local

Day 6: Friday, April 30, 2021 Santa Fe - Tour Ends Your tour comes to an

end with wonderful memories of your

Experience It! The Allan Houser Sculpture Garden

Discover the captivating studio, sculpture garden and foundry of famed Apache

Native American sculptor Allan Houser. Houser was one of the most renowned

Native American painters and sculptors of the 20th century, known for creating

work that explored both his Apache heritage and more Modernist forms of style.

The sculpture garden is located just outside of Santa Fe on ten sprawling acres of

beautiful, Juniper-covered land. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided visit walking along

the nature trails that showcase the stone and bronze sculptures for which Houser

is most known. Houser’s work is also found at the Smithsonian Museum of

American Art and at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. as well as

many other museums and private and corporate collections around the world.

This immersive artistic experience is sure to leave you inspired.

*The open-air tram operates mid-March through October 31st. Departures outside of this time frame will have an included visit to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. **While there is an opportunity to hike at Bandelier National Monument, all hiking is elective and should only be undertaken by people who are physically fit and have prior hiking experience, especially at high elevations. If weather is a concern, this tour will be replaced.

When reserving a triple room, please note that it will have two double beds. Due to fire safety regulations, a rollaway bed cannot be brought into the room.

Single accommodations are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Our air passengers will arrive and depart from Albuquerque airport. All of our transfers will arrive to and depart from Santa Fe.

This tour involves travelling at high altitudes (approximately 7,000 feet/2133 meters) and may not be suitable for some travelers. We suggest that you consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

Please be advised many airlines do not provide advance seat assignments until check-in at the airport. Advance seating will be subject to the airline's terms and conditions.

Flights on departure day should depart after 10:00 a.m.
