Directors & Offi cers Liability (‘D&O’) is an often
overlooked insurance. Unlike most business
insurance policies D&O covers losses or
advancement of defence costs in the event
you suff er claims made personally against
directors of your business. These are usually
legal actions brought against individuals for
alleged wrongful acts in their capacity as
directors
Thankfully such incidences are rare, however
they are increasing. In the event of a claim
being made directly you could be facing the
prospect of a lengthy court case and the
possibility of your personal assets being at risk.
