VANPOOL UPDATE
• Over 400 Valley wide
– Compare to 321 in November 2011
– Bike rack pilot program successful
– Great way for groups 6 - 15 to share the ride & save money.

• Restructuring regional routes to:
– Increase efficiency
– Use park and ride lots to save time, money and attract future riders
– Affects Local, Express, Rapid, and Circulator routes
• Changes effective July 23

• Maricopa County sends to TC one month before survey date• Your chance to request e-surveys for some or all workers• Asks how many employees and/or driving-age students at each site• Count only EMPLOYEES working 3+ days per week, 6+ months per year

• Mix & match paper, e-surveys
• Multiple entries from same computer OK
• Easy, saves paper

• Assesses single occupant vehicle (SOV) rates• Minimum response rate 60%• Higher response rate = clearer picture of habits & preferences• Response rate below 60% percent may require resurvey• Alternative to resurvey is “statistical penalty,” counting all non-respondents as SOVs
