Having a family July 2009-September2012Few years out of employment tohave and raise my young ones.

Needed Job to pay the bills...Like most parents with young kids, looking for job to support the family.

2014 A very successful year

I joined Transitions in early 2014.Transitions referred me to Women into Construction & Notting Hill Be Onsite CTI project) programme who helped me to get my CSCS test and card done. Via CTI applied for Assistant Site Manager on Notting Hill housing project run by Allenbuild builders. After 6 months working as CTI trainee offered a permanent job with Allenbuild as a Site Manager.

Recent report shows 4 in 10 Britons says no to shelter refugees in UK,why?Housing crisis in UK is increasing.Cuts to Welfare and Government funded

bodies.Even though unemployment is falling,

working families struggling with child care & high rent.

Don’t you think people in UK have the right to think negatively towards migrants ?!

Why may refugees face rejection by the new environment ?

multitasking, show that and enjoy being unique.

Do not fear being different, use it as a powerful point .

Embed your core ‘soft’ skills

into work(listening, planning, arrangingand most importantly working

in cooperation with others).

Key barriers facing job- seeking women refugee

professionals in UK Solutions

Your overseas Degree, whether it’s accredited or recognised in the UK.

Your overseas work experience,

how well it can transfer to the UK.

Your professional job title, how to transfer to UK market.

Family responsibilities

Self-confidence

Lack of professional network

Check www.naric.org.uk for qualification comparison.

List all responsibilities and duties, identify clearly transferable skills.

Research the UK market thoroughly to identify specific job titles that apply. Don’t be too general.

Find accessible childcare/funding

Find women’s support organisations

Shine up, show your inner beauty ,enforced your self with confidence .

Be noticeable, make an impact on people around you by being your self.

Do not talk about your problems and share information about your unsettled situation with un authorised bodies, they might use it against you or undermined you .
