How many times can a student repeat a class to correct a deficient grade

for graduation?

Answer: a student can repeat a class until they earn a passing grade.

How many times can a student repeat a class to correct a deficient grade

for College purposes?

Answer: a student can repeat a class Until they earn a passing grade of

C- or better.

What is considered a deficient grade?

Answer: A deficient grade is a D or an F.

A grade of c- or better cannot be repeated

Will a counselor be assigned? Or can one chose ? Will they remain all

4 years with the same counselor?

A counselor will be assigned based on your student’s last name. The

counselor will stay with your student all 4 years of high school.

How do I sign up my student for summer school?

Students will be able to sign up for summer school by visiting the

www.walnuths.net under the summer school tab for non-tuition courses.

If your student is interested in summer school tuition courses you will

be able to sign up at www.dedicated2learning.org. Sign ups will begin in

the spring semester more information to come.

Are non-Academic classes (asterisk) excluded from the Academic GPA?

Yes, Courses designated as non-academic are not included in the Academic

GPA

Does a student have to take P.E if they are in a sport or Color Guard

etc.?

No, a Student does not have to take P.E if they are in Marching band,

Color Guard, Pep or any WHS athletic team.
