We are committed to helping young people into work and closing the skills gap;
• 800 14 – 16 year olds have learned basic cookery skills through our Junior Chef Academy
• Over 200 work placement opportunities to schools in 2014
• Created 60 new job opportunities for 16 – 19 year olds through our Chef Academy Apprenticeship Programme in 2014
Eight embedded apprenticeships including culinary, support services and management to over 1500 people before 2015

Our challenge
• Managing qualifications internally is complex
• Administration and delivery was a paper heavy, tough job with over 6 systems doing separate jobs
• Although the learning experience was good it was traditional and wasn’t learner centric
• Younger learners expect more from technology
• We couldn’t increase the service without increasing the headcount of the team

Reviewed and mapped to national standards, helping compass identify any gaps. Mapped existing delivery and provided support and analysis of data for funding management. On-going quality assurance and support for their delivery.
Blended design solutions by the elearning company of the year: Including curated content, elearning, webinars and more. We have used learning technology to reduce demands on the Compass team and increase quality and access to learning.
Systems and programme management by integrating best in breed: Powered by Totara LMS, the MQS portal supports innovative programme structure and delivery. It includes E-portfolios, automatic registration and certification, learner and funding management. With a powerful reporting tool delivering MI to Compass.
