JT – who are we?
1895 Jersey Telecom providing fixed line telecoms to residents of Jersey
Department of the States of Jersey, employing civil servants
2003 saw deregulation of the telecoms industry, as well as JT being privatised (100% States of Jersey owned)
2010 – appointment of new CEO led the business to embark on a new 5-year growth strategy
JT – who are we?……..contd.
2011 – rebranded to become JT, demonstrating an intention to move from being a CI provider to a global business
2011 also saw the acquisition of Ekit, who provide roaming Sims and who have offices in Melbourne, Boston & London
2012 – acquisition of Worldstone, a managed services business based in London who provide contact centre telephony and IT solutions to SME’s and corporates (Kraft win soon after acquisition led to growth and new office in Chicago)
HR system – the background
2008 – installed and heavily modified HR.net as HR system
Customisation meant that we were unable to keep up to date with upgrades
Acquisitions had own systems (often spread sheet based) – could not be integrated
Most recently only 1 person who could support HR.net for us
