8PUC’s Six Sigma Initiative

The Private Universities Council is a regulatory Body and External Quality

Assurance Agency licensed by the State of Kuwait to oversee all private post-secondary education institutions. Its major functions are licensing, quality

assurance, accreditation and support. It adopted the philosophy of six sigma in

all its operations

• Define the Goal: Quality Higher Education-Institution specific

• Measure: CTQ indicators, efficiency, effectivenes, etc

• Analayze: data collection, defect levels identified

• Improve: dialogue with institutions

• Six sigma project was established as external QA exercise for both PUC and institutions

• Six sigma rigorous methodology includes Master Black Belt training

• The program was executed in partnership between PUC , institutions and the private sector
