Klong TourTake an early morning motor launch along the bustling Chao Phya River and quiet

klongs (canals), passing picturesque scenes of Thai river life. Also visit Wat Arun,

secondary forest, it displays a myriad of nocturnal animals in the wild rainforest

Macau is the former Portuguese colony, walking through Senado Square and

you'll find everything from classic European architecture to ancient temples and

Mediterranean-style street cafes. From the square you can walk up cobbled streets

Shenzhen, located just over the border from Hong Kong, is one of China's Special

Economic Zones. A good place to start is the China Folk Culture Centre where you

can learn all about the customs and cultures of China's different ethnic populations.

For a different slant on China visit the Splendid China miniature theme park, which

features everything from the Great Wall and Tibet's Potala Palace to the Terracotta

Warriors. Take a tour at the Window on the World theme park, where the best tourist

Cancellation Cancellation Charge

The Organisers mentioned in the text below refers to Cathay Pacific

Airways Limited. The Travel Agent refers to the agent at the place of

origin who makes travel arrangements and reservations for tour participants.

The Tour Operator refers to Cathay Pacific’s representative in each

destination who handles all the land arrangements such as transfers,

sightseeing tours, hotel accommodation and meals (in certain destinations)

at the destination.

TOUR PRICETour prices quoted in the attached price list are valid from 1 MAY 2003 to

30 APRIL 2004. Return to Dubai must not be later than 30 APRIL 2004.

In the event when the utlilization period of hotels falls into two periods

of different prices, the tour price will be based on that of the higher price.

Prices are subject to change without notice. Please check with your

Travel Agent or Cathay Pacific Airways for confirmation of prices prior

to booking.

• airport taxes, other travel taxes, passport, visa fees and insurance

soft drinks, room service, optional tours and any other personal items.

RESERVATIONSReservations should be made through the Travel Agent or Cathay Pacific

Airways at least 14 days in advance of departure. Late bookings up to

3 days in advance will be accepted on selected tours only, but are subject

to the availability of accommodation and flights.

PAYMENTA non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total tour price, per person,

must be paid once the booking has been confirmed. The balance of

the total tour price must be paid at least 7 days prior to departure, failing

which bookings will be cancelled without further notice.

AMENDMENTS, CANCELLATIONS ANDREFUNDS

All modifications and extensions must be made at the time of booking.

Any subsequent changes are subject to an administrative fee of UAE

Dirham 200 per booking per amendment, plus any other applicable

cancellation fees as imposed by out Tour Operators or hotels, and such

fees are due immediately when the amendment request is made. No

amendment will be accepted within 3 days prior to departure, and no

change may be made after travel has commenced. No refunds will be

permitted on partially used tickets and once journey commenced.

CHANGE OF ITINERARYNo change can be made to the printed itinerary, unless by the Organisers

in accordance with the provisions herein, once travel has commenced.

Unused portions of the itinerary and any extension nights including hotel

accommodation, sightseeing tours, air fare or other items included in

the tour, are not refundable.

SPECIAL REQUESTSPlease note that special requests such as diet (in-flight or accommodation

meals), room location/type, a particular facility at a hotel, a particular

view, etc. are not guaranteed and form no part of your booking with us.

In view of the large number of requests made we are unable to advise

you before departure if they cannot be met.

HOTEL CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMESubject to hotel’s availability, hotel rooms are generally available between

noon and 3 pm on your day of arrival, and are to be vacated by around

11 am on your day of departure.

BROCHURE ACCURACY AND LOCALCONDITIONS

The descriptions of hotels and accommodation in this brochure have

been compiled based on current information available at the time of

printing. However, changes may occur after the date of publication.

There may be occasions, particularly in low season, when facilities may

be withdrawn or reduced by accommodation owners or proprietors of

other services. For example, a pool may be closed for cleaning and/or

renovation; if there are several restaurants in a hotel, some may close

down in low season. Redecoration or construction work may occur

even in high season.

Such changes are beyond our control. However, if we are advised of

any development work, or changes in the information shown in this

brochure, we will make every effort to advise you before your departure.

LIABILITESI. The Organisers, the Travel Agent and the Tour Operator shall not under

any circumstances be liable, in contract, tort or otherwise, for :

(a) any of the expenses, damages or losses incurred or sustained by

any tour participant which arise from or as a result of the delay or

cancellation of any scheduled flight;

(b)any of the expenses, damages or losses incurred or sustained by

any tour participant which arise from or as a result of changes in

the travel programmes, routes or timetables, provided that, in the

case or such changes which result in a decrease in the cost to the

Organisers, an amount equal and limited to such decrease only

shall be refunded to the tour participant.

(c) any of the expenses, damages or losses incurred or sustained by

any tour participant which arise from or as a result of the missing

of the flight due to the tour participant’s failure to comply with airline

check-in and boarding procedures, and/or failure to comply with

visa and health requirements of the countries they intend to visit.

II. It is expressly declared that all the airlines concerned, their servants,

agents and affiliates are not liable, in contract, tort or otherwise, for

any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused to the tour participants

during the time in transit. The passenger ticket in use by such airlines,

when issued, shall constiture the sole contract between the airlines

and the purchaser of these tickets and/or the tour participants, and

the tour participants shall be deemed to have full notice of the terms

and conditions of such contractors.

III. It is also expressly declared that the Organisers, the Travel Agent and

the Tour Operator act only as agents for the owners or contractors

providing the means of transportation or other services during the

course of the tour. All tickets for such means of transportation or

other services are issued subject to any and all terms and conditions

under which such services are offered or provided (details available

upon request), and the issuance and acceptance of such tickets shall

be deemed to be consent by the tour participants to the further

condition that the Organisers and/or the Travel Agent and/or the Tour

Operator shall not be or become liable or responsible in any way for

any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay, changes in schedule, hotel

overbooking or other inconveniences to the tour participant, the

property or effect of such tour participant, howsoever caused by such

means of transportation or other services.

FORCE MAJEUREThe Organisers have the sole and absolute discretion to cancel or shorten

the duration of any tour in the event of force majeure, hostilities,

accident or other circumstances beyond the control of the Organizers

which render it necessary in the Organisers’ reasonable opinion that

such steps be taken. The Organisers shall be relieved of all liabilities

and obligations resulting therefrom, upon notice to the tour participants

and full refund of any amount paid for the tour or the unused portions

of the tour, as appropriate.
