The first step in the process is completing an application online at LibertyU.com or by calling an Admissions Counselor at (800) 543-5317. A $40 application fee is also required. All official transcripts from previously attended colleges must be sent to Liberty from that college to evaluate your completed credits. Additional required documents may include: HS transcripts, SAT or ACT test scores, and a 200-400 word essay. Pay your $250 Confirmation Deposit at libertyu.com or through the Admissions office at (800) 543-5317. Paying your deposit early will secure the maximum scholarship package available.

APPLY & CONFIRM

After being accepted and paying you $250 Confirmation Deposit, you can complete Financial Check-In (FCI) through your ASIST account. Financial Check-In is the only step that officially reserves enrollment at Liberty University and includes selecting housing preferences, choosing a payment plan, and making the first payment of confirming a zero balance. Payments will be automatically drafted from a credit card or checking account. New students are required to complete Financial Check-In before registering for courses or reserving housing.

Register for your Liberty courses online. If you are transferring fewer than 24 credit hours call Admissions at (800) 543-5317. If you are transferring more than 24 credit hours call an advisor at (434) 592-4110. In your ASIST account you can upload apicture for you Flames Pass (student ID). Be sure to attend Transfer Student Orientation when you arrive on campus. Transfer Student Orientation information, Degree Completion Plans and a complete list of courses required to graduate are available at www.liberty.edu/casas.

ACCEPTAfter you have received you acceptance letter, please complete the following steps:

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov using liberty’s school code 010392.Review and apply for educational loans at www.liberty.edu/direct.

Claim your ASIST account, where you can access your personal and financial information online at www.liberty.edu. Select “Student Login,” then select “Claim New Account.”

What degrees are acceptable?TRANSFER-ORIENTED ASSOCIATE DEGREES: Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Arts and Sciences degrees and General Studies Associate degrees that have been approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) as transfer degrees according to the State Committee on Transfer (visit www.schev.edu)

GUARANTEED ADMISSION AGREEMENT (GAA) :VIRGINIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM & LIBERTY UNIVERSITYLIBERTY UNIVERSITY AND THE VIRGINIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM (VCCS) HAVE ADOPTED A GUARANTEED ADMISSION AGREEMENT (GAA) TO ENSURE THE SMOOTH TRANSITION OF VCCS STUDENTS IN TRANSFER-ORIENTED DEGREE PROGRAMS TO LIBERTY UNIVERSITY.

GAA STUDENTS CAN EXPECT:

Acceptance in some degree programs at Liberty is competitive; thus guaranteed admission into Liberty does not imply admission to these programs without further acceptance by the program or department offering the program.

1Completion of the transfer-oriented degree program will guarantee completion of the general education component of the undergraduate curriculum, excluding the required religion courses. Students may also have additional pre-requisite course requirements specific to the major.

Liberty will guarantee the acceptance of all transferable credits earned from the transfer-oriented associate degree program. No distinction will be made by Liberty regarding college courses applicable to the transfer-oriented associate degree that are taken through dual enrollment arrangements with high schools.

Liberty cannot guarantee that students will be able to complete all requirements for graduation within the 120-credit minimum required for graduation. Liberty will inform the student at the time of enrollment if there are additional course requirements beyond the 120 minimum semester hours needed for graduation. Such courses will be specified in writing.
