E-LEARNING MODULESIndividual training with assessment

E-learning is a fast and efficient way to improve awareness and knowledge. At Seagull, we offer a large library of e-learning modules to get your crew the required knowledge for their ranks/positions. Each e-learning module is an individual training session with a final assessment at the end. By offering our training content both online and offline, our modules are always available at the click of a button.

LEARNING FILMSGroup training with reflective learning

Learning films are a convenient way to bring a larger group or crew up to speed on a subject in one sitting. They can typically be used in connection with onboard drills and exercises. Industry specific subject matter experts vet and review our selection of maritime learning films to ensure they complement our e-learning library and courses.

Seagull have incorporated reflective learning into all learning films.

• With reflective learning, the group discuss what they have seen after each section of the learning film

• Each participant contributes to the discussion and calls on their past experiences

• The group then consider how the topic relates to their everyday lives on-board

Reflection and discussion as a group leads to a deeper and more rewarding learning experience.

At the Seagull training center, we provide Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA) approved classroom courses that meet your maritime training requirements.

Our courses comply with the current rules and regulations and are approved by several major flag states.

ONBOARD COURSESCombining e-learning and workbooks

Seagull Onboard Courses are a unique and cost effective way of completing required training. The combination of theoretical based e-learning and practical exercises has given participants the freedom to choose when they want to do the training onboard. Training on the ship’s own equipment and procedures gives increased competence in the environment they actually work in. The content of the course becomes very relevant to the person who completes the training.

Our courses comply with the current rules and regulations and several are approved by major flag States.

DISTANCE COURSESEffective training for compliance

Seagull’s Distance Courses consist of one or more e-learning modules and a procedure describing how to complete the course. When completed, a course diploma is issued. Since a Distance Course consists of one or more e-learning modules and no workbook, this course can be completed either onboard the vessel or in the office.

• The course diploma is a quality control document that ensures the training has been completed correctly
