Do you Know?...What do our Training Services do?
General ManagerWrtsil Land & Sea Academy, Kore
In todays competitive marketplace, with its everchanging demands, it is more important then ever for companies to have persondevelopment strategies that are dynamic, flexible, and future-oriented. Flexibility and willingness to adjust training solutions based ocustomers requirements are the cornerstone of our Training Services. The WLSA range of training offers has been carefully selected to hachieve maximumproduct service life. WLSAs main priority has been to provide our customers with training solutions to achimaximum product life cycles and consequently optimize the products performance. Of course, safety of machines and operators isparamount importance and all our training products help contribute to achieve this goal. Over the years we have used Wrtsils extens
knowledge and experience on marine products to develop an efficient programof tools and methods for our training services. Operasafety is our main concern and therefore we have developed a wide range of training opportunities to help minimize the risk of personinjuries and maximize operator safety and product lifecycles. Help your product to achieve its maximumservice lifetime! Every prodhas a pre-calculated service lifetime. However, research has shown that for various reasons, not every product achieves it. Import
stages, which have a major impact on a product lifetime, can be recognized during the products lifecycle. These lifecycle stages purchasing genius original spare parts, mounting, lubrication, alignment, operation, basic condition monitoring, maintenance adisassembling. All these stages are extremely important for achieving the maximum service life of a product. By applying the rmaintenance and operation practices as well as using the correct tools, you can considerably extend your products life and increase plaproductivity and efficiency.
Taking all the above factors in consideration, we focus on you as our customer, your issues, needs and to match these with new a
emerging demands. WLSA is also the platformfor upgrading skills and performance quality of our own global Wrtsil Service netwexperts. Our wide variety of training courses and workshops, are now at your disposal we look forward to welcoming you soonYour sincerely

KEY ENABLING FEATURES INMANAGING LEARNING ANDDEVELOPMENTLearning and development are criticalprocesses for enhancing productivity andorganizational performance. Researchshows high-performing organisationsshare certain features in relation tolearning and development as follows:They align and integrate their learning
and development initiatives with
corporate and business planning byreviewing existing activities andinitiating new learning programmes to
support corporate plans. The corporate culture supports these
initiatives and addresses cultural barriersto learning.
Their managers invest in, and areaccountable for, learning anddevelopment.
They focus on the business application
of training rather that the type oftraining, and they consider appropriatelearning options, de-emphasizingclassroom training and allowing stafftime to process what they have learnedon the job in line with adult learningprinciples.
They evaluate learning anddevelopment formally, systematically
and rigorously.
WHAT DOES LEARNING ANDDEVELOPMENT MEAN?Learning and development encompassesa wide range of activities designed toimprove the capabilities of people.Capabilities comprise not only thetechnical skills and knowledge peoplehave, but also their attributes, attitudes
and behaviour. Learning and development
activities can be designed to deliver specskills in a short period of time in order tomeet an immediate need, or designed tachieve broader effects over a longerperiod. The activities can include on-the
job training, development opportunitiessuch as special projects, practical andsimulator supported training, as well asmentoring and formal classroom trainin
OUR SERVICESWe are committed for a long-termpartnership with you and our experts wbe helping your organization to establis
and implement well-proven processesensuring that your investment in Trainingand Development turns into clear andmeasurable business benefits.
Together with your professionals our experts will define a servicethat meets your specific requirements.
