12 month modular vocational training for the job profil “MAINTENANCE ENGINEER” THE UNIQUE HELOG CONCEPT HELOG Academy in partnership with state organizations and private sector institutions is responding to the urgent need to train Trainers, Industrial Mechanics, Maintenance Engineers and other mechanical disciplines over the next decade. HELOG Aca- demy contributes to the effectiveness and quality of TVET sys- tem in Liberia. HELOG Academy developed this market driven concept to roll out quality twelve (12) months of technical and vocatio- nal Education suitable for the conditions of Liberia, with global standard trainings in a multiplexed program. It’s HELOG’s cont- ribution to those circumstances and the development of the job profile „Maintenance Engineer“. GRADUATION „ HELOG Academy Liberia“ has launched the „ HELOG Academy Pact“, an initiative of the private sector. The aim of the “Pact” is to partner between the state organizations, the private business and HELOG Academy Liberia to tailor vocational training exactly for the demand of the industry. After successfully passing the exams, the trainees will receive a HELOG Academy graduation, accredited by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports and the German international Chamber of Commerce. Companies in Liberia are aware of the high quality standard, of this vocational education and graduates are most welcome for employment. WORK DEMONSTRATIONS IN DEDICATED COMPANIES To learn the processes of a commercial operation the students have the opportunity to visit selected companies of high reputa- tion. Managers and foremen are instructed and briefed about these visits and explain the work process as well as the functi- onality of a modern company. These revolving days last about 1-2 days per month.
