This beautiful stone house was built by the Scanlon family in the 1850’s. The family operated a brewery on the property, as well as a grist mill and several saw mills that brought people from across the county to the Scanlon farm.
Scanlon Farmhouse 6
This section of the Evergreen Loop is constructed of boardwalks and oating bridges, providing access to the edge of the wetland and Scanlon Creek. Keep your eyes open for wildlife such as geese, ducks, herons and beavers.

Equipped with fences for large and small dogs, your four- legged friends will enjoy being able to run free in this designated o-leash area. Use the entrance o County Rd. 4/ Yonge St. for access.
Inspired by nature, this play area stimulates imagination and encourages children to explore and interact with their surroundings. With over an acre to discover, children can climb on the big rock, play musical instruments, use the log fort, enjoy the hill slide plus more.
See and learn about native tree species and their unique qualities at the Arboretum. Can you pick out the tall Tulip trees? They can grow to 35 metres!
