Trailblazer, Tony Smits Bible College and Traillblazer Ministries Australasia, China, India
and Africa -- Impacting Generations with the Light of the Word
Dear Brother and Sisters
We continue to develop young people in the
Word of God with our Discipleship course. The
book is being used in many countries now. In
China we use this study to help in the
development of Bible teachers. Here is Happy
teaching his first lesson from our book. The
book is set out with topics, statements and
questions, which the trainee uses as he or she
teaches.
Only this week in New Zealand we had two
sister complete the first certificate in
Discipleship.
Elizabeth Hinekura Isaacs and Lillian Carroll
We were also blessed this month with the
Visit of Mrs Chomba 3rd
from the left, the
mother of Chisanga 2nd
from the left, and
their friend from Zambia, Africa. Great
and powerful preaching.
Our English training classes
still continue to develop.
Making bread, pasties, meat
pies and egg/bacon pies was
also fun this month.
On the 7th
July 2015, I arrived in Zhengzhou in Henan in that lies in east central China and
north of Changsha where we live. It is where the second son of James Hudson Taylor,
Frederick Howard Taylor came and introduced Christ to the people. Howard was the first
missionary to visit Zhengzhou in Henan. Henan has a population of 265 to 300 million people
and has the largest Christian population in China. Hudson Taylor had said it was a difficult
area but the Church has grown even with intense persecution. It was from this area many
Chinese became missionaries to the rest of China.
Twenty years ago I was praying for Henan and for the Spirit of
God to keep moving powerfully and now it’s a surreal felling to
be here at long last, also adding to that we live in Changsha
where Hudson Taylor was based.
We have a young Chinese couple here Jerry and Beth, who have
started a work here. We left Zhengzhou travelling north and
drove for one and half hours and arrived at Jiaozuo a small city of
four million people, to attend a meeting, six and half hours after
leaving Changsha with no dinner we went into a meeting of about
50 vibrant Christian in worship. Words of knowledge were
flowing as we shared on the Kingdom of God. A great response
and they want have more meetings.
On the 8th
July 2015, I spent early part of the day resting and
after lunch we
went to see the
channel that was
built to take water
to Beijing, but the
locals don’t use it
because it is too expensive.
In the afternoon we had an English class
with a large group of Children.
In the evening we had a meeting with a couple who
wanted a baby and we prayed for them after
explaining some points of Scripture. Following this
we went to a man’s home who had cancer and was
lying on the couch. We anointed him with oil and
prayed for Him along his wife too,
We travelled for three and half hours to Xiangxan,
Xuchang, Henan, South East of Jiaozuo and had a meeting in a small country town. We had
about 20 people come to the meeting.
This is the Taohuayu Bridge
crossing the Yellow River. Yes it
is almost 8 kilometres long.
On the 12th
July, we returned from
Xiangxan on Sunday morning.
Sunday evening we had a meeting
in Jiaozuo with around 80 people
attending. We preached
on the pearl of God is
His Kingdom! The
Kingdom has the King
and His subjects and all
have a part to play. It is a
symbiotic relationship.
More than 50 people
received Jesus because
they could see that it is
Jesus who paid for them.
People were in 4 rooms listening to the preaching.
Over the six meeting we may have seen a 120 different
people with about 60 being saved. We also saw a
women’s leg grow or become even with some prayer.
One women who had been a singer but after an operation
her voice was very course, We prayed for 3 times over 3
nights and
she gave a
testimony of
how she felt
better and I
said sing which she did and sounded great and she
burst into tears and so did a few others.
It was also lovely to catch up with one of our past
Bible College students Ruth with her baby. We
had lunch together with Jerry and Beth.
Upon saying to the people I was leaving many
showed emotions as they said good bye. The
Spirit of God was moving in power and love.
See I do, do some teaching.
It appears that I am going back to teaching in
a University, as support has reduced and cost
of living going up. It will cut down much of
my travel but it is all well with our souls. It is
one of the best Universities in China. They
want me to develop a training course to help
Chinee student go overseas.
We have a NEED of support
We have by the grace of God financed the buying of land to build a
church and we have helped with finances for building of a school for
little children in Uganda Africa.
We have supported many campuses with computers, scanners and
printers to aid in their establishment of their campus in Pakistan,
Uganda, Kenya, Malawi and Ghana. We are sending almost 40
computers into Africa for Bible College campuses and 2 primary
schools in August 2015.
We have also help with breeding programs and taught about incubation of eggs.
In China we have also help supported pastors financially to get started. We have also sent
many Books of studies to these countries to establish a College Library. We need prayers and
support.
Another Disciple of Tony Smits, Mike Tyrrell is in Uganda where
he has about 21 acres of land and we are hoping for support to
build a physical campus. Stage one class rooms is $10,000 but we
would need many thousands of dollars to establish a full college.
Stage two a library $5000 also another $15,000 for stage three,
chapel and conference room. The classrooms would be used as a
place of worship too.
This development will give us a strong foothold in Africa. Help us
to get this going.
We have set up this link if you desire to support us. You may set
up a monthly payment using you master cards etc. Or make a one off gift.
Please click on this link and start helping.

We will now look at some of our campuses around the world reports. We are doing a little
but all these wonderful people are doing so much, please pray for them.

TRAILBLAZER CHURCHES OF UGANDA REPORT FOR MAY/JUNE 2015.
To Dr. Ian Traill
Dear Sir,
We have had a grace period of one month ministry as I took the Annual leave and travelled to
Otuke district. God gave us a grace of ministering whereby we managed to do the following
in one of the new church branch planted in the area for building the Bible College.
1. We built a Grass thatched
house for prayer
2. We dug a pit latrine and we
have started making wall
3. We planted a church branch
with 20 members, mostly
children
4. We have also managed to
get some tools and machines
which will help us in
training our members and
children in Technical skills
to help them in
development. The loan I got
has helped me to implement
and raise up some good
evidence of development in
the land for the Bible
college and it is now secure
as we wait for the time God
will bless you to help us to
start building
We also have war children that need
help, we have put in plan to open a
nursery school next year for the to
study that will be called “YOUNG GENERATION CARE NURSURY SHOOL”
Here are the attached photos.
About the Bible study, I have 15 students that have finished the study and I will be sending
their files.
Now I have the following things to do of which I need your help of $500
1. Church registration to government $100
2. Finishing our pit latrine $50
3. Buying chairs and tables $200
4. Buying second hand clothes for these war children $150
I also remind you about the house to be completed to help us to open our office and
communication centre. We have now three branches in Otuke district. We shall have our
General meeting and elect leaders and give you well organized report on church branches
leaders plus the names plus the names of Christians and children.
Pray for us as the ministry is growing. Your visitation and any support God may bless you to
give us is welcome.
May God bless you abundantly.
Yours faithfully, Pr. Abongo Daniel

Malawi
Thanks very much Dad for the Laptop and Printer
Support
Yes indeed, some more equipment are needed, and
also an income earner such as the livestock
production as is done in some campuses of
Traillblazer Ministries, so will it be helpful to Malawi
Am praying to that some more campuses will be
opened here in Malawi in all 4 regions.
Am compiling the reports and so soon to put them in the dropbox before the last minute.
Thanks for your patience, love on me, and zeal in the work for the Lord. We are praying for
your family needs too.
As you pray for us here, please pray also for my son elder Mozes who was admitted
yesterday at a private hospital following some swellings in his stomach. Pray that He get well
so soon and pray also that God provides me with money to pay for hospital costs. He is
undergoing surgery tomorrow, and the proposed hospital fee is $182. Currently, am stranded,
have no money, but still trusting that the Lord is God of POSSIBILITIES.
BE BLESSED ABUNDANTLY
Your son, REV KR CHILEWA, MALAWI/AFRICA CAMPUS
Kenya
Dear Dr.Ian,
We hope you are doing on well with the ministry work. It is a privilege to have you a good
friend in the lord.
In our community are many churches but not hearkening to the voice of God. Many people
are misled. It is a good move that Julie has done to us here by starting a church that will allow
people to read and interpret the bible.
We also thank you a lot for considering us vital to give us a bible college. To assure you if
God will help me assist the first lot to complete the certificate well, will be a great change to
the entire community. We are focusing this as projects that will enable light of Jesus Christ
penetrate our community.
Our sincere request this hour you pray for me and the small church here.
We are in lack of bibles which are expensive to purchase. We too lack good shelter and seats
for our church proceeds; also we need the church instruments. This just to inform you the
areas we could need aid if possible. Therefore we request for your powerful prayers for God
to do His will to us here and many other churches of same faith.

Kenya - Nairobi
Say that 50 members from the Traillblazer Tony Smits Bible College attended a P1
graduation event at Kilimambogo where 2 of our members are students and were graduating.
This concurred with our monthly voluntary community service event.
This month, we were leading the campaign of saving our water towers and Mt. Kilimambogo
was our target. We do this to reach out to the society and preach the Good News of Jesus and
to spread the peace message.
It is our role as Traillblazer Youth for Christ to lead other youths in our country to do this
bearing in mind that our country has been hit by current spate of terror attacks.
And don’t be surprised to get a few yawns in response. Could there be a less-interesting
topic? Some might ask. But explain that the members from 13 counties spanning Nairobi,
Central, Rift Valley, Nyanza as well as Coast Provinces learned how to protect the mission of
our Bible College.
The 5-hour event presented a variety of guidelines on safety, liability issues, protecting
children and young people, and yes, insurance. “But holding an insurance policy is not the
answer to risk management”, said Mr. Ocharo, a former insurance company chief risk
management officer. “Insurance is the broom that comes to clean up the mess after the loss
has occurred. If somebody’s lost their life because of negligence of the supervision of an
activity, no amount of dollars will bring that life back,” he added, explaining why loss
prevention is very important.
As President of Traillblazer Tony Smits Bible College Kenya I hailed him since I often link
risk management with stewardship in presentations to local churches, since both are
important ways of managing resources for ministry.
The fewer losses you sustain the more money there is for the mission of the college.
Since I left earlier to lead our Voluntary work around Mt. Kilimambogo, I must now leave
you with Sent’s report of what transpired thereon.
Angel Sent Njeri’s report
This event has given me tools and made me more aware of potential dangers and preventative
measures. It has made me more proactive since our country is one with a lot of risks in terms
of colleges and churches built in danger-prone areas.
As a leader, am very concerned about the potential for loss of life and how to mitigate that
risk. As Ian Traill notes in his leadership notes, several leadership aspects arose during this
event proving once again that leadership is not only about, “how you do things, but also what
kind of person you are.”
Ian challenges readers to ask themselves, “What kind of person does God call me to be?”
I try hard not to write about him since he is only a servant of our holy God, but, when it
comes to excellence I must quote him in one of Year One books that, “Don’t try to do a good
thing, do God’s thing, it is always good.” High five to
our dad Ian!
See our students excel all-round!
Traillblazer Kenya Youth for Christ member Robert
Onyango walks off the dais after receiving his P1
Certificate at the Kilimambogo.
Below, the Principal presents Eunice Wambui who is also our
student with her ‘Best in sciences award.’
I don’t know what your picture of God is at the moment. But I do know
that if you are in the least afraid of Him,
angry at Him, uneasy around Him, it is
because the separation of sin is keeping
you from seeing Him as He really is.
Traillblazer Tony Smits Bible College
Kenya has the information you need to see
what has happened in the past so you can
learn and train local church leaders around
your area, at any level to deal with any
risk that may affect your church’s work.
Motivation is not rivalry to be the best, but because God’s
work merits excellence.
Because of what I have learned so far, when I attend such events I get to understand that we
need to extend leadership’s influence a every level of the church and/or college.
We need to have moral authority for those who serve and belong to us, so we can take care of
our members who are of the highest value.
Everything we talk about is ministry. I tell the Traillblazer world that our ministry is
protecting yours.
Well known institutions like Kilimambogo are united in their goals of serving society as
centers of higher learning, advancing knowledge and research, and challenging their students
to develop their full intellectual and human potential. But why should we make such an
investment in education?
Our Purpose
Traillblazer Tony Smits Bible College Kenya is also deeply committed to quality
education.Simply put, it is because we want our children, youth and adults to gain more than
what the world can offer them. Higher than the highest human thought can reach is God’s
ideal for His children. The world has had its great teachers, men of giant intellect and
extensive research, men whose utterances have stimulated thought and opened to view vast
fields of knowledge….but there is One who stands higher than they. Every gleam of thought,
every flash of intellect, is from the Light of the world.
So, while the educational systems of the world seek to impart knowledge, Traillblazer Tony
Smits Bible Colleges seek to acquaint students with the Source of all knowledge.
If anything, Traillblazer Ministries has provided me a meaningful worldview built around
Creation, the fall, redemption, and re-creation derived from the Bible and the inspired counsel
of Dr, Ian Traill.
Within the context of this worldview, service to God and others is emphasized. Restoration of
the image of God in every human being is the object of education and life. It strengthens
character, fortifies the mind against evil and prepares the learner for service to God and
others.
Traillblazer Youth for Christ
Vice-chairperson Angel Sent Njeri far right
poses for a photo with students L-R: Fortune
Kawere, James Mwendia Gabriel Mucheru,
Fred M, Vincent Muriuki and Hellen during
the Function.
Our core philosophy is that education should
be redemptive, for the purpose of restoring
human beings to the image of God. Mental,
physical, social and spiritual health, intellectual growth and service to humanity are the
essential core values.
By focusing on the important mission of providing a biblically based, holistic, mission-
driven educational experience, Traillblazer Tony Smits Bible College Kenya has grown from
a small Vintraillblazer’s Class to a countrywide network of 31 churches as witnessed in our
enrollments. Many students ranging from peasant to church leaders have benefited from the
Year One course which we pray that some of you will find time to attend our graduation later.
We pray that many will go on to serve as pastors, relief workers and in other service-oriented
capacities.
Word from exam’s desk
When our campus assists students that is a magnificent thing! We have over 150
students.
Whenever possible, I encourage churches that enrol with us to have at least one
laptop and scanner to help them keep their records-even if it is second-hand ones.
I once shared with a friend a second-hand laptop and learned the basic skills of a
computer. It has been shown that limited resources provide very good scholars
and that students aren’t educationally deprived in what may appear to be a
limited arrangement.
In remote areas where there are many poor students, it may not be practical for every student
to scan his/her exam in time. For example a certain church I attended, they don’t have their
own laptop leave alone a scanner. This delays our work.
Let’s renew our creative ways to encourage our very own students to receive many benefits
studying under Traillblazer Ministries.
We only have one laptop and having so many students, we are praying for two more laptops,
a 3 in 1 printer copier scanner.
Many of our Bible School students are studying on secular campuses. There can be some
great advantages in that these students can be valuable witnesses to many people at their
institutions. However, unless we as a ministry take care of these young people and engage
them in mission outreach scheme and training, they will often be overwhelmed by their
secular environments, unless they are deeply committed staying close to Jesus.
Thank you and God bless you all.
