TRAFFIC ANNOUNCEMENT THROUGH GSM NETWORKS

ABSTRACT:

The project titled as’ Collide Vehicle Information Capturing Using GPS and GSM

Technologies is an embedded based system. By this advanced technology we can get accurate

information about the victim This system combines advanced hardware design and

sophisticated electronic control technology into a compact, reliable package.

In this system vibration sensors are used for detecting range of collision. Sensor data will

be in analog form so it needs to be converted to digital, which is fulfilled through A/D Converter,

and this digital data is being sent to microcontroller there it is compared with the threshold

values, if it exceeds the threshold values then only data will be sent to GSM (global system for

mobile communication) & location data is captured with the help of GPS (Global Positioning

System). Here we are making use of the GPS which gives exact location of the collide vehicle.

A traffic information system for a vehicle comprises a global positioning system (GPS)

associated with the vehicle that selectively generates location and vector data. The traffic

information system includes a transmitter. A control module receives the location and vector

data and wirelessly transmits the location and vector data using the transmitter. A remote

traffic monitoring system receives the location and vector data and determines a first lane that

the vehicle is located in based on at least the location and vector data.

A road traffic information output apparatus includes: a road traffic information

obtaining device that obtains road traffic information; a decision-making device that

determines in advance a specific area for which road traffic information will need to be output;

and a control device that implements control to output road traffic information that has been

obtained by the road traffic information obtaining device for the specific area determined in

advance, when the road traffic information for the specific area determined in advance by the

decision-making device is required.
