Day1:DublinUpon arrival into Dublin’s International Airport meet a Dublin guide. Enjoy a private tour of the capital of Ireland en route to the hotel, with such highlights as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity College, which houses the historical “Book of Kells.”

Day3:DublintoCountyMayoMeet the Irish driver-guide who will be the escort for the remainder of the tour. The journey from Dublin to County Mayo offers a first tantalizing glimpse at the picture-perfect scenery for which the Emerald Isle is famous with verdant hills dotted with grazing sheep, ruined castles and abandoned abbeys along the way. There will be time in the afternoon to relax at the impressive Ashford Castle, overlooking Lough Corrib.

Day4:ConnemaraEnjoy a full day exploring Connemara, the rugged Gaelic-speaking region of western Galway. Quiet lanes meander round the indented coastline’s sheltered sandy bays, where the climate is so mild that sub-tropical vegetation flourishes.

Day5:ThroughtheBurrentoCountyKerryToday’s route meanders south from County Mayo through the Burren, a bare hilly area that is devoid of trees and surface water, fits in a stop to gaze at the crashing surf far below the Cliffs of Moher, before crossing the River Shannon by ferry and on to Kenmare, in the heart of County Kerry.
