TRACY L. BULLOCK, SENIOR EXECUTIVE

In Her Own Words

An exclusive excerpt from Tracy’s upcoming feature in Who’s Who

Publishers ’ “Top 101 Industry Experts”

Q. What characteristics help to separate you from your competitors? A. I have a high level of energy and I bring that energy into the audience. I ask for people’s input, and I want to make everyone feel comfortable and included.

Q. What advice can you offer to those aspiring to work in your industry? A. You need to understand that it’s not just what you’re saying, but it’s how you’re saying it. You also need to make sure that you realize that not everyone is going to respond the same way you do — you need to have the grace and acceptance for other people’s diversity, what their skills are and how they learn.

Q. What do you find to be the most rewarding aspect of your profession? The depth and breadth of roles in which I’ve had the opportunity to lead. The ability to train and develop an organization, and help others be successful with new skills designed to deliver results is the end game.

Q. What motivates you? A. It’s very hard to have a bad day when you are doing something you love.
