In 2006/07, 40.3% of children in Winnipeg’s Point Douglas community were not ready to start school on one or more indicators.

Over a 15-year period, the number of young children hospitalized in Winnipeg has decreased by more than a third. In the Point Douglas community, it is now half of what it was 15 years ago.
