Sub-grantees may attend training not provided by FEMA provided that the training fallswithin the FEMA mission scope and the States Strategy of preparing responders orcitizens to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism orcatastrophic events. The State is allowed three deliveries of the same course statewidebefore the course is required to go through the FEMA course review process.
These courses must be Pre-Approved by the Homeland Security Section of EmergencyManagement Division. Sub-grantees must complete this form and submit it for review bythe Homeland Security Section of the State Emergency Management Division. Formswith a preponderance of NO checkboxes will be denied. The Comment Fields areoptional. All training courses not provided by FEMA and/or approved by EMD/HLS willbe denied reimbursement.

Mass Casualty Blast Trauma for First Responders
CourseDescriptions
Drawing on lessons from Iraq, Israel, UK, and Thailand this two day(16 hour) course enables first responders both medical and nonmedical to understanding Blast Trauma, bleeding and hemorrhagecontrol, point of wounding, transportation of casualties, forensicspreservation, and protecting yourself from secondary hazardsfollowing a terrorist attack.
