Title • The title of the film (Toy

story) is and brilliant title for a family/ kids film. The logo itself is affective as it has nice bubble writing that is clear and bold with bright colour like yellow and red to make the logo stand out.

The title that comes up at the start of the film is the actual logo for the film. This is affective because children remember a certain logo for certain things. The yellow wording has a darker colour around the outside so you can see it even in the dark this is good as it was viewed it the cinema when it came out

GenreThe genre of the film is action/ adventure. This is one of the best genres that attracts the majority of children.it is adventure in the way that the film is a journey of good and bad. It is also action because there is a lot of cuts building suspense and tension. In addition it is shown to be a action because of the fighting and there is more than one hero. It makes it an action film as it has stunts. This is affective because it gives a an exiting and emotional feeling that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Distributor • The distributor of toy story is

Buena vista pictures distributionPrior to 1953, Walt Disney's productions were distributed by Columbia Pictures, United Artists and RKO Radio Pictures. However, a dispute over the value of Disney's True-Life Adventures series of live-action documentary featuretted in 1953 led to Walt and his older brother Roy Oliver Disney to form its wholly owned subsidiary, the Buena Vista Film Distribution Company, Inc. (BVDC), to handle the U.S. distribution of their own product. Buena Vista's first release was the Academy Award–winning live-action feature The Living Desert on November 10, 1953 along with Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom, Buena Vista's first animated release. Notable subsequent releases include the foreign film, Yang Kwei Fei (Most Noble Lady), released in US theatres in September 1956, The Missouri Traveler in March 1958, and The Big Fisherman in July 1959 (the first third-party production financed by Disney).

The target audience is the family audience as is has basic language for kids to understand, bright colours and friendly characters with happy positive vibes almost all the time. There is a clear baddy so it is easy to follow the story and also normally has a happy ending like (toy story). However there is quite dark bits in the film like when Sid (the bad guy) is being nasty to the toys . this makes it a family film because the parent can be there with the kids when the dark bits are shown.

The camera shot types

• The opening uses camera shot types like close up, mid shot and body shot to create action/ adventure feel.

Toy story uses camera angles like birds eye view and high angle to create the idea of the toys being toy sized and the view looking down on the toys as you would do in a child friendly environment. it also uses eye-level so that you can fell like the character is talking/looking at you.

Costumes

• The costumes are quite simple in which there is very simple clothing that the characters where through out the film. For example the toys where the same clothes to make the film looks real as real toys do not change there own clothes

On the other hand the human characters do change clothes as the film lasts for a few days and to make it seem real each day in the film the characters have different outfits
