This is the Town Meet 2014, June 23 24, 2014 and different schools at Lucban gathers here in SLSU as the host for this years town meets and to participate in the competition. We are assigned to assist on the basketball event that held up on RPN covered court and I assigned to elementary game.As a pre service teacher and as a mapeh student, this is a good experience for us because we able to see how officials officiate the game hands on which helps us to understand more our duties as a mapeh teacher in the future that we need to do this.The game is between the elementary of SLSU Laboratory School and BVA if Im not mistaken. The game is fun to watch because both elementary students are playing like theyre not elementary because they are using defense that can be seen in the television and in their age they know how to defense a half and full court man to man. In the start of the match, the SLSU gain the control of the ball, and their players are fast to set up a point but, their opponent did not allow them to score on after the tip in. It was a high pace for both team they run down back and forth and the BVA defense is good allowing SLSU to give some turn overs but, the player of SLSU is determined and one of the best and tallest player of SLSU broke through the opponents defense by stealing the ball he rushes to the goal and no one able to stop him. That was just the start because the SLSU players heated up and they steal ball after ball that the opponents dont know what to do and decided to took a time out. The opponent time out give them a momentum they break the SLSU scoring streak and they score but, SLSU is well composed and continue their attack. The game became intense as the players run back and forth and exchanging scores and the opponent manage to close the gap in just four points before the first half ends.First half is a good start for both teams but when the second half starts, SLSU team began to full off and lead as many as they can in the period they continue they continue to hammer down the defense and offense of the opponent. SLSU gain control of the whole match as Elma scores fast break points and steal some balls from the opponent, this was the beginning of the SLSU offense, because on the last quarter the opponents never back in to the game due to the deficit that the SLSLU team gave to them. The opponent do their best but the SLSU still control and win the game in the end. This is a one good game but still in the end this is a game that could help both teams to grow and develop more potential on their players skills. I could not able to watch the game next day due to our class in school which is same time as our subject but its okay because I learned from the students and officials in that game, that there are some things that I need to improve in myself to be a good official or coach someday.
