Example of a criterion• Energy consumption should be measured, sources
indicated, and measures to decrease overall consumption should be adopted, while encouraging the use of renewable energy.
• Indicators proposed:– Percentage of total energy from renewable sources– Monetary investment in energy saving devices/ technologies and
renewable energies– Total energy consumed per tourist specific activity (guest-night,
tourists, etc) per source or divided renewable versus non-renewable fuel
