GREEN BAY ‘EMERGES’ ON CHICAGO

The Greater Green Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau partnered with the Radisson

Hotel and Conference Center to exhibit at the recent Religious Conference

Management Association’s (RCMA) EMERGE conference in Chicago. This

conference combines a traditional trade show exhibit component with 15-minute

one-on-one appointments with religious meeting planners.

This year’s attendance consisted of almost 400 religious meeting planners; many

that plan meetings in the Midwest. We met with 14 planners during dedicated

appointment schedules, including many more who stopped by to chat about

Greater Green Bay during open expo hours.

We came back with several qualified leads for the area and will continue to follow

up on these accounts for future business.

Willkommen in Green Bay

To support the rise in Wisconsin’s overseas promotions, the CVB recently worked with the

Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s international advertising agency, Great Lakes USA. This

group was the driving force behind a Great Lakes region German travel brochure that will

be distributed to travel agencies. This is important because international tourists use travel

companies to book their extended holidays in the US.

Our Department of Tourism, along with Green Bay, Milwaukee and Racine purchased two

page ads, as did cities in Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan. This collaborative piece will be

used in Germany and the German-

speaking Switzerland areas. It features

beautiful photography and highlights major

attractions. Green Bay’s pages include

Lambeau Field, Oneida Nation, the

National Railroad Museum and the National

Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help.
