TOTAL TEAM COMMITMENT
Message from the Assistant Vice Chancellor
In accordance to LSU’s Strategic Plan 2025, it is our vision to be the
premier provider of transformative student-athlete support services. We
pride ourselves in utilizing state of the art technology, student-centered
support programming, one-on-one advising, a 54,000 square foot facility
that is conducive to learning, and being a committed team.
The Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes’ team is
comprised of five units: an executive team, an academic affairs team, a
student affairs team, an educational support services team, and an
operational team. Collectively, this dedicated group develops the
student-centered support structure for every LSU student-athlete.
In an effort to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our student-
athletes and remain amongst the premier support centers, we constantly
assess, evaluate, research best practices, and implement new
programming.
Our commitment to the total development of our student-athletes
primarily includes four areas: academic development, personal
development, community engagement, and career development. We
believe that our holistic approach has the potential to naturally develop
our student-athlete's intellectual growth and curiosity.
Our developmental approach to learning encourages education through
inquiry. We also encourage our student-athletes to be future leaders who
will go out into society and evoke the necessary changes by executing,
exhibiting, and teaching the very values that this office practices on a
daily basis. Those values are Accountability, Commitment, Success,
Integrity, Diversity, Teamwork, Education, and Service.
Again, we are very proud of what we do and how we do it...the LSU
way…a Total Team Commitment! Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve!!!
Geaux Tigers!!!
