Regular foodservice cloths place demands on the chemistry in your sanitizer solution and therefore act as a “pump” that extracts the quaternary ammonium chloride and chlorine ions from the holding solution. When rinsed, the ions, which are not firmly attached to the cloth, are released with the water and bio-load and are therefore discarded. Outside studies show that traditional and non-woven cloths immediately reduce quaternary sanitizer solutions by as much as 50% and 95%, respectively. Solutions used with Tork-Q Foodservice Cloths remain consistently above 200 PPM for well over four hours when managed properly.
