Rabbi Sholom Hammer will be our guest lecturer for this coming Shabbat. Rabbi Hammer will deliver the sermon both in
the Main Sanctuary as well as in the 9:00am Minyan upstairs.
In the afternoon, Rabbi Hammer will deliver a lecture entitled “The Ultra-Orthodox and the IDF: Contrasting Philosophy or
Common Ideology”? This lecture will be delivered at 4:15pm.
A short D’var Torah will be given by Rabbi Hammer after Seudah Shlisheet.
Rabbi Shalom Hammer has been in Israel for 23 years. He served under the Rabbinate Division of the Israeli Defense
Forces. He was officially appointed as a lecturer for the Israeli Army to help motivate troops in all divisions. He also
lectures for the Menachem Begin Israel Government Fellows in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Hammer has authored three books and is a contributing writer for the Jerusalem Post. He is a guest lecturer for
communities throughout the Diaspora, including the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia.

The Israel Bonds “Unity for Israel Dessert Reception”
will be held at B’nai Torah Congregation, Monday,
November 27, at 7pm. The Torah Ohr honorees this year
are Francine Cappell & Robert Goodman. The guest
speaker is Ambassador Ido Aharoni, former Israeli
Consul General in New York. There will be
complimentary bus service from the Century Village
Clubhouse to B’nai Torah.
