Specific to this later tableNB. The period after 1450, and particularly after 1500, was treated very selectively. Although the last instance is noted on those works that are analysed here in their entirety, further investigation often pushed that date on. As for 'first' dates, other works by the same chartmaker were examined, and this often revealed an earlier date. In some cases, that adjustment caused a transfer of the first or last instance to a different chartmaker. For that reason, the first and last dates have not been highlighted in this table, unlike the two earlier ones.

Much of the output of Sideri (Callapoda) was a faithful copy of that produced up to a century earlier by Grazioso Benincasa. In a number of cases his toponymy gave continuing life to place-names that had been generally abandoned many decades earlier. To avoid distorting the overall picture, the column devoted to the latest of his works available in reproduction (a chart of 1565) has been included twice, first after his mentor, Benincasa, and then at its correct chronological position. Those columns are highlighted in grey.
