COMMUNICATIONS

AIRPORT. The  International    airport  is  just  15  minutes  away  from Topolobampo. Daily departures and arrivals  from  the most  important cities  in  México  (Mexico  City,  Guadalajara,  Mazatlán,  Hermosillo, Tijuana) and the United States (Phoenix, Los Angeles)

RAILWAYS.- The railroad line for cargo and passengers is operated by FERROMEX. It has 199 km of railways in the State and it connects the  Port  of  Topolobampo  with  the  state  of  Chihuahua.  This  railroad links  the north of Sinaloa  (Ocean Pacific door) with  the north­central region of Mexico and with the U.S. This is the shortest route between the Pacific and the south ­ central region of the U.S. and some points of the Gulf of México, such as Galveston, Texas.

CEMENT TERMINAL

The  group  of  CEMEX, installed  in  Topolobampo the  mechanization  plant  of cement, with an  investment of 1.2 million dollars, which has   two silos with capacity to storage 1000 tons. each. This  terminal  receive  the product  from  Sonora  and send  it  to  La  Paz,  B.C.S.During  2004  this  terminal managed 184,000 tons.

This  terminal  started operations  in  the  port  in October  1998.  T.T.T.  is handling  minerals  and grains  in  bulk,  it  owns  a 135  m  berth  and  a  20 thousand  ton  capacity warehouse.During  2004,  TTT handled  320,445  tons  of dry bulk cargo.

   Last December 2004, the Holland America Line called on Topolobampo. 

   The Ryndam vessel, arrived to Topolobampo on the  26th and the 29th of December, with 2,500 passengers.

   One of the principal characteristics of the port is the link to the Copper Canyon in the State of Chihuahua, and this will be the most important place to visit for the tourists.

• The real estate complex includes  the construction of condominiums, yacht club, tennis court, pool, gym, spa, among others. The amount of investment is calculated in $7.23 million US dlls. Plus $ 0.30 million US dlls., in the second yacht club project.

•  Investment of $3.63 million US dlls.,  in first stage of construction.

• Includes two silos with storage capacity of  20,000  tons.,  and  mechanization  in load and unload maneuver.

•  Investment  amount  in  mechanization calculated in $0.90 million US dlls.

•In other project, the firm ARMEX will invest $ 0.54 million US dlls., in the construction of a  warehouse  specialized  in  fertilizers handled.
