The Topsides and Jacket fabrication was successfully completed ahead of schedule. The Jacket and Topsides were safely loaded out on 27th June 2010 and 29th July 2010 respectively. These achievements signify the commitment, teamwork and corporation between PCVL, the EPCC contractor PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC MC), PETROVIETNAM (PVN), PETROVIETNAM E&P (PVEP) and sub-contractors. A simple but meaningful ceremony was held at PTSC MC yard in Vung Tau, Vietnam to commemorate the special occasion. En Abdul Malik Jaffar, General Manager of International Project, senior managers and managers from PCSB/PCVL and PVEP representatives attended the ceremony. In his speech, En Malik praised the PTSC MC Management and PCVL site team for managing the activities at site in a safe and efficient manner. En Malik also commended PTSC MC for its good HSE track record. The milestones achieved add to its previous achievements in the Ruby A Gaslift, Ruby B and Pearl projects. As a token of appreciation, En Malik presented a plaque to PTSC MC to recognise their contribution towards the achievement of 1 million manhours without LTI, on behalf of PCVL and PETRONAS. These achievements highlight reflects PCVL’s exemplary HSE practices and the contractor’s commitment to adhere to PETRONAS’ HSE culture and practices to achieve world class project execution. Topaz Field Development comprises a three legged 6-slots wellhead platform and two pipelines i.e. 10” crude and 6” gaslift connecting to the new FPSO Ruby II. Production from Topaz is expected in October this year. The EPCC contract with PTSC MC covers the fabrication of 1,400 MT Wellhead Platform and 700 MT three legged Jacket.
