Saudi Aramco owns the Ghawar Field, the world's largest oil field, and the Shaybah Field, one of the world's largest of its kind.

Offshore Karan gas field launched The first gas from Karan — the company’s first

offshore non-associated gas field project — started flowing earlier last month(26 July 2011) and is being transported by subsea pipeline to the onshore Khursaniyah Gas Plant. Karan, designed to produce 1.8 billion standard cubic feet per day (SCFD) of raw dry gas by 2013.

Azadegan field:- The oil field was discovered in 1999. The first exploration well was drilled in the field in 1976, but its discovery was finalized after drilling the second well in 1999. The field has an approximate area of 900 square kilometers (350 sq mi).

Yadavaran Field:- The field is estimated to have reserves of up to 17 billion barrels (2.7 km³) of oil, with 3 billion barrels (0.5 km³) considered to be recoverable.

On October 29, 2004, Iran negotiated a $70 billion deal with Sinopec, giving the Chinese company a 51% stake in the field's development. As part of the deal, China agreed to buy 10 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Iran per annum for 25 years.

Together, revenues from oil and natural gas amount to 60% of the country’s GDP.

QP operates Qatar’s oil pipeline network, which transports supplies from oil fields to the country’s lone refinery and export terminals. QP operates an expansive offshore pipeline network that brings crude oil from offshore oil fields to Halul Island, where oil can be processed for export. Onshore, most oil is sent to Umm Said for refining or export. Qatar has three primary export terminals: Umm Said, Halul Island, and Ras Laffan.
