#3 CDSD Outperforms Cyber Charters

• Poor academic performance has been a chronic problem in Pennsylvania’s cyber charter sector.

• A 2019 study by Stanford University found that students attending Pennsylvania’s cyber charters lost ground - 106 days of learning in language arts and 118 days of learning in math when compared with their school district counterparts.

• The Pennsylvania Department of Education recently identified every single one of Pennsylvania’s 15 cyber charter schools as among the lowest-performing schools in the state.

• The average graduation rate in these schools is around 50 percent.
