Instructional framework & connections

This project is inquiry based and yields itself naturally to self differentiation and includes student interest.

Students will use technology (blogging/wiki/skyping) to communicate with others in the community (parents, across schools, etc.).

Students will use non-fiction text features to enrich their inquiry about their natural environment.

Students will develop an appreciation and understanding of their local environment.

Students will increase their understanding of structures, functions, and adaptations of living things.

Students will become experts at their school environment. They will listen and speak for information and understanding. They will share data, facts, and ideas with participating students from the other school. Students from Village will travel to Northwood and vice versa.
