The meaning to the song is slightly unclear but from the lyrics, it could have been written o be based on personal experience of one of the band members. If the song wasn’t based on a personal experience then I get the impression that it is about a girl and boy at a dance (Prom, Senior Prom) and both of them being embarrassed to dance with each other. This is highlighted in the chorus of the song.

In this song the band have used each of the first two verses to describe the boy and the girl, and how they could have had a previous relationship or how the girl is always having different relationships with different boys and this boy that I mentioned o the music video is the next for the girl to have an relationship with.

This song was not released as a single of the bands 2011’s debut album “What Are You So Scared Of.” Even though this song has no music video to compare the lyrics to the lyrics to the visuals, the lyrics are very straightforward and it was very easy for me to picture a narrative to go with the song.

The pre- chorus towards the end of the song is very key as it defines the narrative of the song, especially the lines “Oh the state that she as got him in, But she, she’s too caught up in moves to even notice you.” This shows that the girl has quite an evil heart and doesn’t actually love the boy in the way that he loves their and how that the girl thinks that love is a game.
