How can we distribute Leadership to students in our classrooms, in our schools, and finally

in our communities?

We can’t sit around and wait for the adults to change the world. We have to prepare the leaders of tomorrow to make a plan for today.

We use Brain Talk with Lifelines. We weave it into our instruction. We work to make it real for students by using it in the café and on the bus. Students can contextualize it for their peers and younger students. Kids pay attention to kids.

It takes a village. Sometimes the village sees it as a pleasure and an honor to help you. Invite community members in to school to help you select the Lifelines you use for the following year. After all, you are preparing their future employees. They have a vested interest in your job.

IN OUR COMMUNITIYA CULTURE OF SERVICE

Do the right thing. Treat people right. From my house to the White House, it’s just what we all should do. How can you market your school as one of service. What community service can you give? How will you influence your students to make a difference?

ALL of us can provide service to our community!
