Filtro solar e suor não são uma combinação ideal, ainda mais quando você está com a mochila pesada, cheia de equipamentos para camping debaixo de um sol de 40 graus. “Segura aí”, diz o Mike pro seu amigo, “eu esfreguei meu olho e entrou protetor, de novo!” Brandon, o amigo que ficou um pouquinho pra trás, se apressa em gritar “É, seu reclamão! Em Sidney é inverno agora, né? Você prefere voltar pra lá?” “Cala a boca, seu – ...” e Mike é interrompido pela visão do gigantesco arco-íris. “Espera aí, lá está ele! Chegamos, cara!” Depois de mochilarem pelo continente, o “Welcome Home” do DreamVille é mais do que bem-vindo para esses dois amigos australianos. Logo depois, Mike já vê Brandon jogado numa cadeira de praia, puxando uma latinha geladíssima do cooler. “Pega aí! A gente merece – vamos começar já o esquenta pro Tomorrow!”

Sunscreen and sweat are never a particularly nice combination, and especially not when you’re hauling a backpack full of camping gear onto DreamVille in 33-degree heat. “Dang it,” Mike says to a friend lagging behind, “I wiped that stuff into my eye again!” Brandon, his somewhat slower buddy, manages a shouting reply. “Yeah! Back home in Sydney it’d be winter by now! Sucks to be us, right?” “Shut up, you – …” Mike is interrupted when he notices a big, brightly colored rainbow pop into view. “Wait, there she is! We’ve made it, man!” After a backpacking trip around the continent, DreamVille’s big, bold ‘Welcome Home’ is a more than welcome sight to these two Aussies. Looking back at Brandon, Mike finds his friend already slouched into a camping chair, fiddling a can of beer out of his bag. “Here, catch! We’ll set up later – let’s just get in the mood for Tomorrow now!”

Antes mesmo do avião decolar os passageiros - que vieram de todos os cantos do mundo, de países como Inglaterra, Austrália e México, e de diversos estados do Brasil - estavam pilhados pro festival, e antes de invadir o solo de Itu o clima de festa também tomou conta do céu brasileiro!

CREW, GET READY FOR TOMORROWLAND TO TAKE OFF! Attention passengers: the “party flight” take-off with destination Tomorrowland Brasil has been authorized. There are moments – and phrases – that only you, the People of Tomorrow, have the pleasure of experiencing and hearing. The flight that departed from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo flew over the Atlantic Ocean and the Serra do Mar rocking out to an incredibly original soundtrack prepared by “the man” DJ Romeo Blanco himself. Even before the plane took off, passengers that came from all corners of the world, including countries like England, Australia and Mexico and several Brazilian states, were pumped up for the festival and before invading Maeda Park, the party mood also took to the Brazilian skies.

“It was a long trip: we departed from Moscow and had a layover in Rome. From there, we had a direct flight to São Paulo. We went from Russia’s 10º C to Brazil’s 30º C, almost 24 hours after we stepped out of the house.”

TRAVELERS OF THE WORLD, WELCOME!A Brazilian poet used to say: “Sailing is necessary.” The sailors that dock at Tomorrowland come from many different parts of the world to find themselves in this mythical, borderless land; at Tomorrowland, the official language is love, and here, everything is accomplished on the basis of friendship. You simply have to keep your mind and your heart open! So – can you imagine leaving your city, and arriving straight at the Mainstage as if by magic? Behind the scenes, there are wizards who make this possible. They take care of every detail, making sure that the travelers’ experience is entirely memorable. They are the ones that run the Global Journey programme, the official organization that ensures that each visitor is transported from their homeland (be it in another state or even another country) straight to the best days of their lives in a complete package deal. In 2016, they arranged 13 official flights from Brazilian capital cities as well as 5 international flights. Welcome home, travelers!

Os britânicos apontaram de cara seu país no mapa, já Marvin não é bom de geografia e demorou a achar a Alemanha... Mas tudo bem, o rapaz de 19 anos veio sozinho ao Brasil só para curtir o Tomorrowland - tem lição de casa melhor que essa?!?

Scots Greg and Chantel met German guy Marvin at the airport, on their way to DreamVille. The Brits quickly point out their country on the map, but Marvin seems to be less than stellar at geography and takes a while to point at Germany... But that’s fine, as this 19 years-old adventurer came to Brazil by himself just to party at Tomorrowland – is there any better homework than this!?

Já aconteceu com todo mundo: você se distrai por um minuto pra curtir a mixagem do DJ e... pá, perdeu sua galera. Pra se prevenir destas situações este ano, juntamos algumas dicas úteis.

• Amarre uma corda em volta daquele amigo “pau de enchente”. Aí, amarre um balão de hélio na corda. Pronto!

• Guarde o mapa de memória e combine um ponto de encontro. A terceira árvore à esquerda do Fusion Pool Stage, por exemplo.

• Combine com seus amigos de vocês usarem camisetas listradas de branco e vermelho. Se você os perder, convença a equipe de produção de que você precisa embarcar no helicóptero dos fotógrafos dizendo que eles vão participar do melhor jogo de “Onde está Wally” das suas vidas! Voilà.

• Se você está cansado demais, apenas relaxe um pouco. Se você perder seus amigos, explore o festival sozinho(a) e faça novos amigos – vai ser muito divertido!

• Tie a rope around your friend’s waist. Then, tie a brightly colored helium balloon to that rope. Presto: instant friend finder!

• Memorize the map and agree on a set meeting point. The third tree on the left from the Fusion Pool stage, for instance.

• Tell your friends to wear red-and-white striped shirts. If you lose them, convince the crew to let you board a helicopter. Play a little game of ‘Where’s Waldo’, and voilà, you have them back.

• But sometimes, a little rest is simply best. If you lose your friends, explore the festival on your own and make new ones – you’ll be surprised how much fun it is!

We’ve all had it happen: you turn around for just another glimpse at the DJ… and poof, your friends are gone. In order to prevent such situations this year, here’s few handy tips.

O alemão que já possui 20 anos como produtor e faz a frente na gravadora Coldharbour Recordings, possui uma identidade musical única, que sempre influenciou outros artistas do trance e progressive. With a strong Dutch trance influence from the 90’s, Markus Schulz will show us what he’s all about at the Full On stage. This month, he will release his next album, “Watch the World,” which promises to sustain his hybrid and unmatchable sound. The German native, already counting 20 years of experience as a producer and head of the label Coldharbour Recordings, presents a unique musical identity that has always influenced other artists in the trance and progressive genres. You simply cannot miss this epic performance!

O argentino radicado na Alemanha Guti é um daqueles casos de artistas que carregam a música no DNA. Nascido em uma família com diversos membros notáveis de orquestras, ele se tornou um reconhecido músico de jazz e rock em seu país natal até se mudar para Dusseldorf em 2010. Explorando referências que vão da música cubana ao folk argentino, foi no continente europeu que seu talento para a House Music e o Techno ganharam reconhecimento. Ele se apresenta em formato live no palco assinado pelo clube Warung!

Guti, an Argentinean native currently living in Germany, is one of those artists that seem to carry music in their DNA. Born to a family with several distinguished orchestra players, he became a renowned jazz and rock musician in his home country, until he moved to Düsseldorf in 2010. Exploring references that range from Cuban music to Argentinean folk, it was in the European continent that his talent for house and techno music gained recognition. He performs live this Thursday at the Warung Beach Club stage!

Os holandeses Sunnery James e Ryan Marciano são companheiros de pista desde a adolescência, então imagine a afinidade dessa dupla que vai quebrar tudo hoje aqui no festival! Pode-se registrar a ascensão da dupla a partir de 2011, quando impressionaram tops globais com o remake de “Lethal Industry”, ainda mais energética e letal (há!) do que a track original de Tiësto de 2002. Dutch DJs Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano have been dance floor buddies since their teenage years, so imagine this duo’s level of affinity as they plan to set the stage on fire at the festival today!
