When part of a listed property has been sold,proper notification should be given to the multiple listingservice.
NAR's 8.0 Clear Cooperation Policy As a reminder NAR adopted MLS Policy Statement 8.0,Clear Cooperation and added as a new rule to the MLSRules and Regulations, Section 1.01, Clear Cooperation. All MLS's within the New York State Alliance of MLS'sagreed to make the rule effective January 1st, 2020 andstart enforcement on February 1st, 2020. Click here forthe NYSAMLS's Clear Cooperation Policy 8.0 which wasput together by NAR. For additional Q &A's based onquestions from members of the NYSAMLS on thepolicy/rule click here. As with all MLS rules andregulations, violating this policy/rule will result in a onetime warning. Violating the policy/rule again could resultin a fine starting at $500 for a first time offense, $1,000 fora second offense and $1,500 for a third offense.

New CE RequirementsDoes your license have an expiration date of July 1, 2021or later? New education requirements go into effect in2021. The changes include:
the addition of 3.5 hours of core courses (2.5 hrs.business ethics; 1 hr. legal updates). Currently,the core courses are 3.0 hrs. fair housing and 1.0hr. of agency (2.0 hrs. agency for first licenserenewal)the elimination of "grandfathering" - brokers/assoc.brokers will no longer be exempt from thecontinuing education requirement.
Everyone with a license expiration date of July 1, 2021and later will be required to complete 22.5 hours ofapproved CE, including the 7.5 hours of core courses, inthe two years prior to the license expiration date. TheDOS will be looking at the expiration date, not the datethe renewal is submitted. In other words, there is nogetting around the new requirements by renewing beforeyour July 1, 2021 expiration date.

Pending Home Sales Skid 4.9% in DecemberPending home sales fell in December, taking a step back
