What an amazing season of performances and events we have in store for you.
This is already our most successful season since the Tolbooth opened, with James selling out in 15 minutes, Jimeoin selling out months ago and, as we go to print, only a handful of tickets left for both Paul Brady and the master performance poet John Cooper Clarke.
As if that wasn't enough our line up also includes an acoustic evening from Ricky Ross, and the return of The Twilight Sad, Rachel Sermanni, James Grant and Roddy Woomble.
Classical music comes in the shape of Baltic Passion from the wonderfully eclectic McFall's Chamber, as well as a Saturday afternoon recital by Duo Argondizza. With trad rather well represented by Lau, as well as duos Chris Stout and Catriona Mackay and Mairearad and Anna.

This season marks the closure of The Changing Room, Stirling's only contemporary art gallery.
From its original site in the Stirling Arcade to its more recent base in the Tolbooth, the gallery has been a champion of contemporary art for the last 15 years and has been the catalyst for much creativity.

Multi-instrumentalists and award winners, Mairearad Green (accordion and smallpipes) and Anna Massie (guitar, banjo, fiddle) are a captivating duo, providing a highly energetic performance with a warm and friendly stage presence.
Having both grown up in the Scottish Highlands with similar musical backgrounds (most notably, mandolin playing Dads!) Mairearad and Anna share an innate understanding of Scottish culture and music. Having played together for ten years, on stage they have an instinctive rapport and a seemingly telepathic communication.
Individually, they can be seen performing with a number of well-known artists including The Poozies and Blazin’ Fiddles. They perform many of their own compositions, and are on tour promoting their newly released CD, Doubling.

James Grant always wanted to be Jimmy Page but as he grew up it was his velvet vocal chords that shaped his destiny and secured his standing as one the great singer/songwriters of recent decades.
The sweet sorrow of lost love and lasting hope echoes in ‘lyrics good enough to be poetry’ – and wrap around your heart in honeyed tones too haunting to be forgotten.
As a young singer/songwriter/instrumentalist with Love and Money Grant signed to Phonogram at just 18 years old and wrote four classic albums for the band. Last year Love and Money successfully reunited for selected live performances and the release of their first album in 20 years…
The great reaction to this latest release is a timely reminder of the class and brilliance of Grant’s songwriting, Don’t miss him on this solo tour.

If you’ve ever dreamt about singing your favourite jazz song with a live band in front of an appreciative audience, then our open mic nights are for you!
All you need to bring is a simple lead sheet (chords & melody in your key) for the song you want to sing and our outstanding jazz trio will accompany you with empathy and panache.
Our cabaret evenings are friendly, supportive and informal and feature the timeless standards of Sinatra, Holiday and Fitzgerald combined with the musical magic of the Jim Clelland Trio.
Come and see for yourself – and if you’re not ready to sing, then just come to relax in good company while listening to some great music.
Please note that singers who bring three or more audience members will be admitted free of charge.
Three superb solo performers team up to present a series of concerts in an informal “in the round” style. Bill Adair, Sarah McQuaid and Richard Grainger will share the stage, exchanging songs, ideas, harmonies and off-the-cuff improvisations in what promises to be a memorable evening of words and music.
Bill Adair is a fine singer/songwriter and guitarist. With a repertoire that includes traditional Scottish ballads, blues from the Mississippi Delta and his own songs, his performances are complemented by a natural storytelling style.

Untold stories - playing Deacon Blue & his solo songs and telling the stories behind them.
In 2012 Ricky Ross celebrated 25 years of fronting Scottish pop-rockers, Deacon Blue, as they released a Top 20 album and sold out their 17 date UK tour.
Yet in 2013 Ricky is back, doing something a little different. Ricky will be playing songs from his solo career, including tracks from his new solo album ‘Trouble Came Looking’, some Deacon Blue songs that you might not normally hear and of course some of their classic hits.
Gregor Philip will accompany Ricky on guitar as the two of them set off around the country playing places they couldn’t get to with Deacon Blue, and sharing the untold stories behind the songs.

A figurehead of the movement, he became one of Britain's best loved and most important poets. With the current revival of the '70's punk phenomenon, 'The Punk Poet' is as important now as he was then.

CEDRIC WATSON & BIJOU CREOLESat 25 May, 8pm£14/£12
From the warm heart of Cajun Country, multiple Grammy nominee Cedric Watson is the young king of the Louisiana scene.
Cedric and his trusted band carry with them the spirit of the Blue Moon Saloon, the passion of the all night porch party and the joy of the session on the bayou resurrecting the ancient sounds of the French and Spanish contra dance and bourre alongside the spiritual rhythms if the Congo tribes of West Africa, sold as slaves in Louisiana.
Creole folk, swamp blues and upbeat zydeco are all on the menu as fiddle and accordion master Cedric Watson hosts a musical feast - Louisiana style! He even occasionally throws in a bluegrass fiddle tune or an old string band number.
A prolific songwriter, his albums are a tapestry of pulsing rhythms and creole poetry and his live performances are unforgettable.

The Changing Room 1997 - 2013The Changing Room closed its doors on Saturday 30 March 2013 for the very last time.
Since its opening in 1997 it quickly established a reputation for bringing the best in contemporary art to the area, to the only contemporary art gallery in Forth Valley.
It not only brought emerging and established artistic talent of international standing to Stirling but also provided a crucial forum for vocational training and peer support for locally-based artists and young people to explore, develop and challenge their ideas and experience of art.
A lot of the success of the gallery was the result of the drive and vision of the first Visual Arts Development

Officer, Kirsteen Macdonald. A huge thanks must go to her.
Equally, none of the gallery's achievements would have been possible without the dedication and commitment of a host of talented volunteers.
We would like to take this chance to thank them and you, our audience, for your support over the years.
Finally, it has been an honour for me to work with so many exceptional people and to be part of the wider UK network that nurtures the real talent we have in Scotland.
Emma Hamilton,Visual Arts Development Officer2009 - 2013
"The gallery was nothing fancy, but at its best it had a real energy – an energy that made Stirling a better, livelier and more rooted place for artists and audiences."
Moira Jeffrey, Scotland on Sunday, 17 March 2013.
