An Island nation with an archipelago of 6852 islands and a population of over 127
million people.
The four largest islands are Honsuhu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku.
98.5% of the population are Japanese Tokyo, the capital, I located on Honshu.
Japanese is spoken in all of the country with some dialect variations.
A mix of traditional and modern culture

EF Tokyo City Tokyo is the largest city in Japan with over 13 million inhabitants and over 30 million in the
greater Tokyo area.
The city is divided into 23 (such as Shibuya) with its own unique character.
Mix of areas with skyscrapers and tall buildings and more typical residential areas with two story
houses and large, green parks with temples in
unexpected locations.
The Tokyo public transportation is very developed, secure and punctual.
