NEW ACADEMY !!Academy of Indigenous StudiesWhat is it?An opportunity for students to participate in authentic, hand-on Indigenous activities

aimed at enriching their understanding of the local culture while making positive

contributions to the community.

Who is it for?Students in Grades 10-12 are eligible to participate

Classes:English First Peoples 10/11/12 (4 credits each)

These are academic English classes recognized by Post-Secondary Institutions.

Indigenous Leadership 10/11/12 (4 credits each)

Indigenous Art 10/11/12 (4 credits each)

BC Frist Peoples 12 (4 credits)

Accepted at Post Secondary Institutions and satisfies the Social Studies 11/12

Graduation requirement.



Entrepreneurship and Marketing 10Marketing and Promotion 11Entrepreneurship 12These courses will offer students hands on experience with all phases of owning a business. Students will have the opportunity to participate in SD23’s IGen Challenge.
