Transcript of Today at 6:00 p.m. - Clover...
Welcome to our service today!
Grace is a very fitting name for
our congregation because we
love to experience God’s grace!
We are a warm and friendly
family who exist to exalt Jesus
Christ, evangelize the lost, and
edify believers. We have lots of
interesting and enriching things
to do and offer as a church. But
our priorities are to worship the
Lord Jesus Christ, to fellowship
with other believers, to grow to
be more like Jesus, to do
ministry, and to share the Good
News with those around us. I
encourage you to become a part
of our wonderful church.
We need YOU to help us fulfill
our responsibilities and you need
US to help YOU become who
God created YOU to be. I would
consider it a privilege to be your
pastor and I pray you will
consider joining our wonderful
church!
Pastor Tim McGehee

“Four Strong Anchors for Life’s Stormy Seas” Matt Magness
In Christ Alone
Giving - Deacon of the Week-Glenn Schmitz
Tennessee Missions Emphasis
The mission of Grace Baptist Church is to reach people for Jesus Christ and
to teach them to be productive in the family of God!
Sermon Notes
Four Strong Anchors For Life’s Stormy Seas Acts 27:14-29
Paul was a special man for several reasons, but here are 4 of them
He was a man ___________ God.
He was a man on a _______________ mission.
He was a man of _______________ Faith.
He was a man who was in ________________ with God.
So what are these 4 anchors that Paul used and that are available to use today.
The Strong Anchor of the _______________________ of God. Acts 14:23
The Strong Anchor of the _______________________ of God. Acts 14: 24-25
The Strong Anchor of the _______________________ of God. Acts 14:24
The Strong Anchor of the _______________________ of God. Acts 27:44
So I want to you to take this small prayer home with you. Cut it off this paper and put it
somewhere you can see when those storms of life come.
“Lord, I cannot fix my situation. I cannot calm the raging seas of my life and I cannot still
the winds that blow against me. I need Your help today. By faith, I cast the anchors of Your

midst of the storm. Until then I will not fear, I will not fret, I will simply have faith You will
bring me through.”

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH
FIRST you will need to come forward during the invitation to express your desire to become a member. We accept members in three ways: 1) Profession of faith: By repenting of your sins and receiving Jesus Christ by faith. After you have made a public profession of faith, you will need to be baptized. 2) By statement of faith: If you have made a public profession of faith at another church, we will be glad to receive you. However if you have never been baptized by immersion or if you were baptized in a church which holds a different view of salvation, baptism or eternal security than Grace, you will need to be baptized again. 3) By letter: If you are currently a member of another Southern Baptist Church, we will contact that church to notify them of your decision to join Grace. SECOND, You will be required to attend our “New Members” class. You may present yourself for membership before or after taking this class.

New Discipleship Class for New Believers and Seasoned Disciples
Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." Matthew 28:19
How are you doing on this part of the Great Commission? What is your spiritual age? Are you dependent on others for your spiritual nourishment? Could you or do you feed others spiritual truth? Is Grace a disciple-making church?
-If you are a new believer or one that wants to mature as a Christian we have a
Journey for you! -If you are a seasoned follower of Christ and want to learn how to be obedient to the Great Commission we have a Journey for you! -If you have a passion for helping others grow in Christ we have a Journey for you!
"Disciple's Path: The Journey" provides an intentional one-year mission toward maturity in Christ. It's a purposeful process covering four volumes, 13 sessions each. The Journey was created to nurture believers into disciples who make
disciples. This new discipleship class will begin October 1 at 9:45 a.m. Please share your interest on the tear off or contact Michael.
Appreciation— Dearest brothers and sisters in Christ, I’m so thankful for the kind sympathy expressed about my sister Gail’s death. Your prayers of support are helping me recover from this event, and are so appreciated. With love, Brenda Bell
