• should be explained clearly to enable others to repeat the work

• new method which can be patented

• decide if you want it published

Write up the results

• the results tables graphs etc. will be there

• the introduction is what it is

• To introduce your work and similar work which was done before

• why it is important, why you are doing this work

• i.e. your objective

• in the introduction you can give references of work that has been done before by you or others that are relevant to this paper

Write the discussion

• Discuss your results

• your results can be discussed here in relation to other results.

• by you or other researchers

• for example the same as, or different from others.

Write the conclusion

• your objective is written in the introduction,

• in the conclusion you show:

• how with your results

• you can come to that conclusion

Acknowledgement

• Acknowledge the people who helped but are not authors and mention the grants

References

• Name of authors
