This venue offers a first-floor view of the local coastline and Mediterranean seas. Offering a glass roof for the added benefit of style, chic and uniqueness. The venue has glass doors which are opened minutes prior to the ceremony. This venue is fully air conditioned.

Venue Fees

Many hotels across Cyprus will charge a large fee should you wish to take your wedding party out of the hotel to a tavern/restaurant etc. At Tsokkos Hotels we offer you the choice as it is your day to plan as you wish.

Included in all our venue fees are the standard chair covers, red carpet [if desired], and any hotel decorations.

A] Should the couple wish to hold just the wedding ceremony venue the fee will be 650.00 Euros. This is with no meals/drinks included

B] Should the couple wish to hold the wedding ceremony venue and the reception/party venue the fee will be 325.00 Euros. This option is for the couple to purchase the chosen menu from below

The ceremony venue and reception/party venue will be private to the couple and guests. No hotel guests will be permitted in either venue.

Champagne Breakfast

Couples who hold their wedding ceremony and reception party in the King Evelthon [or other Tsokkos hotel] will receive a complimentary champagne breakfast in the room the morning after the wedding. On arrival at the hotel the wedding coordinator will arrange this in the welcome meeting.

Candlelit Dinner

Couples who have held their wedding ceremony and reception party at the King Evelthon [or other Tsokkos hotel] will receive a complimentary candlelit dinner the night before departure to enhance your special time within the hotel. Should you not wish this the night before departures please inform the wedding planner, who will arrange your chosen date and time.

Entertainment

For the wedding party who is looking for the dream day to end with a bang then we suggest you book one of our English-speaking DJ’s who ensure you have the best ending to the perfect day. Our DJ’s will have contact withyou all the way through to your special day.

For the less party atmosphere, you can hire a speaker and play your own music via relevant connections.

For the subtle evening, you could have a singer who will liaise with you prior to arrival on the choice of songs you wish.

To entertain children, we can offer you the Disc Dome which is a bouncy castle with built in disco for children. The noise from the Disco Dome does not affect any other entertainment of the evening.

Hair & Make up for the bridal party

Andrea our resident hair stylist and make up team will liaise with the wedding party prior to arrival in the hotel making sure your details are noted.

Andrea has been completing wedding hair for many years and loves to make all brides look radiant on the special day. Some brides feel nervous booking a hairdresser they have never met prior so with our team we have ensured you have control by liaising directly to Andrea. This we find eases many issues for the wedding party.

Can we get an extra copy of our marriage certificate?

A certified copy of your marriage certificate is available at an additional cost of €13.67. This needs to be ordered at the declaration appointment, prior to the ceremony

What happens if we lose our wedding certificate?

If you lose your wedding certificate a certified copy can be ordered and sent to your home address for a small fee. You would be required to contact the local municipality to arrange this.

Can I get married in Cyprus if I have been divorced?

Yes, if you can provide legal proof that you are free of any bond of marriage. An original Decree Absolute is needed to prove this

you may speak to more than one of us during the planning of your special day we are all up to date on all the plans you have made

When do I have to confirm final numbers?

We appreciate that guest numbers can change, as soon as you are aware of how many guests you are expecting please let us know. If you can please confirm 14 days prior to arrival.

What happens when we arrive in Cyprus?

A meeting with your Wedding Coordinator is planned for the morning after your arrival. An appointment at the town hall then follows to registrar the marriage along with any hair and make-up consultations you have planned

CEREMONY

Will the ceremony be in English?

Yes. Whether you choose a Civil or an Anglican service, all ceremonies areconducted in English

How long does the ceremony last?

A Civil ceremony lasts around 20 minutes with an Anglican service lasting around 45 minutes depending on the hymns and readings chosen

Who writes the civil wedding vows, and can we supply our own?

The vows are set by the local municipality in accordance with their license to perform marriages. It is possible to write your own vows for completing after the legal vows. We must however notify the registrar on the marriage application. however, you may like to add a special reading

Which signature does the bride use on the marriage certificate?

When signing the marriage certificate, the bride should sign in her maiden name, for the last time!

Can we throw confetti?

Yes. The throwing of confetti is a big tradition and will provide one of your most magical photos. We only ask that confetti are hand thrown and not fired from confetti poppers

Can I bring my own music for the wedding ceremony?

Yes, we have sound systems in our ceremony venues. You can bring your chosen ceremony music on USB or alternatively we will download your chosen songs. We suggest up to four songs, one as the bride walks down the aisle, the second while the married couple sign their marriage certificates and the third as the new Mr & Mrs cut the cake, fourth while the couple walk amongst their guests as they shower the couple in confetti

If I don’t bring my own music is any provided?

We have a lovely selection of music to be played during the ceremony which you can choose when you arrive

BANQUETING, BEVERAGES & THE WEDDING RECEPTION

Do I pay full price for the banqueting menus if my guests are all inclusive?

Our banqueting menus are separate to the all-inclusive entitlement. They are prepared by our executive chefs and served at the time of your choice in one of our special wedding venues A banqueting table is set up to an agreed seating plan and the function receives the dedicated attention of a head waiter to serve you and your guests. For these reasons, the menu prices per head are applicable at the full price.

At which age do you classify children and infants?

Guests aged 12 and under are classified as children. Infant guests are aged between 0-2 years.

Do you have high chairs?

Yes, we have as many high chairs as you need and will automatically provide these based on the number of infants in your party

I have some guests attending my wedding who are not staying in the hotel- when purchasing the selected menu choice this price includes outside wedding guests to attend the hotel 1 hour prior to the ceremony time and drink from this time until 24.00 hours. The menu chosen is included for the evening wedding meal

What time do the all-inclusive beverages finish?

The all-inclusive entitlement finishes at 24.00

What time does my music and entertainment must finish?

All music and entertainment must stop by 24.00 under licensing laws by the government/police

Do I need to prepare my own wedding favor’s and boxes?

We must ask that all favor’s and decorations are given to us fully assembled

What happens to my decorations after my wedding-

Any items left on the venue are the responsibility of the said wedding party.However, no responsibility can be taken for any items that are not located at the end of the event. We strongly suggest you delegate a responsible person[s] to check the venue when leaving.

Can our wedding outfits be stored and steamed when we arrive at the hotel?

Yes. The hotel has a special area to hang wedding dresses and offers a professional steaming service. Steaming services are provided at additional

cost and will be arranged upon arrival. An express fee will be charged if less than 48 hours’ notice is given.

How do I go about arranging hair, makeup and nails for my wedding?

The hotel has a dedicated Spa and Hair Salon specialising in Bridal styling,they have many years’ experience and come very highly recommended. Once you have decided on your requirements for your wedding day we will make all the necessary appointments for you or put you in direct contact with our Spa and Hair Salon. These bookings can be made as soon as you are ready.

Can we use suppliers recommended by friends or family?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow external suppliers to provide services withinthe hotel for your wedding day. If there is something you need we will help you arrange it however our incredibly high standards will not allow us to riskyour day with an unknown supplier

What do we do about music and entertainment for the reception?

With our vast experience in this area we have all the very best contacts andoffer a wide selection of options for you to choose, from a DJ to traditional Cypriot dancers and much more!

Can we have fireworks?

Yes. We offer pyrotechnic fireworks due to licensing laws

Can we use Chinese lanterns?

Unfortunately, we do not allow Chinese lanterns to be launched as the debris impacts on our residents and farmland. It also causes health and safety issues for the hotel itself and can be a hazard to local aircraft.

Do you have a Bridal Suite?

The hotel doesn’t have a dedicated bridal suite however we offer a large variety of room types which ensure we have something to suit all tastes and requirements [subject to availability]

Where does the bride normally get ready?

Most brides choose to get ready in their room and visit our Spa and Hair Salon for their bridal preparations

Will a separate room be provided for the bride or groom before the wedding day? Subject to availability the hotel may make a separate room available for the bride or groom on the night before or the morning of the wedding. This facility will be charged at the applicable rates and cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak season.

Do our guests have to stay in the same hotel as us?

While we recommend that your guests join you here at the King Evelthon Hotel & Resort for the duration of your stay because we know that they will have a wonderful time, it is not a requirement

Terms & Conditions

1. Upon arrival, the wedding couple will hold a welcome meeting with the wedding planner to finalize all relevant details. It is imperative youattend

2. Requested wedding dates will not be finalized until the local municipality/registrar has confirmed in writing the confirmation. Once the confirmation has been received we will forward you a copy of the said confirmation

3. The legal documents to marry in Cyprus are the wedding couple’s sole responsibility and Tsokkos Weddings cannot be held responsiblefor any documents not obtained

4. Wedding Documents are detailed above, and it is the couple’s responsibility to confirm they have all the relevant documents to the wedding planner of the hotel prior to arrival in resort

5. The hotel reserves the right to substitute any product with that of an equivalent product in terms of value should the original product not beavailable

6. The hotel reserves the right to change the venue of the function if required, or in adverse weather conditions. No refund will apply in thiscondition

7. Guests are responsible for any loss/damage to any of the hotel venues, furniture, decorations and other equipment. In case of any damages the hotel will charge the guest/wedding couple accordingly

8. The private bars associated in the menu price will be allocated on thewelcome meeting, no special requests can be admitted for this. The private bar is available 1 hour prior to ceremony time and will cease at 24.00 hours. Should any guests wish to consume alcohol beyond 24.00 hours then it is chargeable either to the guests’ room or wedding couples.

9. Nonresidents of the hotel attending a wedding can enter to the privatebar are 1 hour prior to the ceremony time and drink alcohol until 24.00 hours. Should nonresidents wish to attend the hotel earlier a day pass must be purchased. This excludes part of the bridal party e.g. bridesmaid coming in to assist bride

10. External suppliers will not be allowed to enter the hotel this includes hair stylist, beauticians, makeup artists, photographers, florists, musicians, DJ’s and other entertainment, cake suppliers.

11. All services for the wedding must be organized through the hotel wedding manager/planner

12. Food items such as cakes are strictly prohibited in the hotel

13. Wedding cakes not consumed on the wedding day are not the responsibility of the hotel and will not be kept for Health & Safety reasons. No storage areas are provided for such items

14.For direct bookings, a deposit of 200 Euros is payable. Should the wedding be cancelled no refunds will be given

15.The hotel is not obliged to refund any all-inclusive meals/drinks 16.Any wedding bookings wishing to use the holiday all-inclusive the

18. Full costings of the said wedding will be provided in the welcome meeting. The couple will receive a copy. The full amount must be settled within 24 hours of the date of wedding

19. Al La Carte restaurants are not available for any group bookings on a wedding day or day prior

20. Should any issues arise these must be reported to the wedding planner/hotel manager within 24 hours of the wedding date.

21. All outside suppliers will not be allowed in the hotel unless special permission has been requested. This is at the discretion of the

Directors/hotel manager depending on the request. All Tsokkos suppliers tobe used in the first instance.
