Instruction to Access Zip Files About Zip files: The zip files are used to store the results of SPI and ECON course evaluations, as well as grade analyses online at SUNY Oneonta. SPI accounts and zip files are password protected and are case- sensitive. To access the website where SPI zip folders are stored requires a valid SUNY Oneonta username and password, the same one you use to access Oneonta’s email account. To access departmental or individual zip files, requires an OIAE-issued password. If you forget your password or find a SPI file that is not password protected, send an email to [email protected] for assistance. Please note that computers using Windows 7 (and Mac OS X) are able to open zip folders without additional software; however, all Oneonta PCs using windows 7 come with 7-Zip preinstalled. If you have an older machine, you may have to download WinZip (or Stuffit Expander if using a mac) from the link below (Free) to access your zip folder. OIAE uses WinZip version 8.1. Instruction to Access Zip Files

About Zip files:

The zip files are used to store the results of SPI and ECON course evaluations, as well as grade analyses online at SUNY Oneonta.

SPI accounts and zip files are password protected and are case-sensitive. To access the website where SPI zip folders are stored requires a valid SUNY Oneonta username and password, the same one you use to access Oneonta’s email account. To access departmental or individual zip files, requires an OIAE-issued password. If you forget your password or find a SPI file that is not password protected, send an email to [email protected] for assistance.

To Access Individual Zip Files:

1. Go to http://www.oneonta.edu/academics/iae/spi.asp2. Select the Faculty Zip Files for Course Evaluation and Grade Analysis link.

3. Enter your Oneonta username and password into the security window (Figure 1).  This is the username (top cell) and password (bottom cell) that you use to log on your e-mail account. If you have any problem, contact the HELP desk at 4567.

4. On the Faculty Data page, select the first letter of your last name, and then find your full name.

5. Double click on your name

6. Click on Open

7. Click on Agree

8. Click on the file you want to open. A plus sign (+) at the end of the file name indicates password protection. Prior to fall 2009, Grade Analysis reports were distributed on paper.

9. A second security window (Figure 2) will open.  This requires the password created by the OIAE. If you have any problem for accessing your zip files here, contact the OIAE at 2844.

 To Access College & Department Zip Files:

College & Department Grade Analysis and SPI/ECON course evaluation data are password protected. The OIAE has created specific passwords for each department. To access the account:

1. Go to http://www.oneonta.edu/academics/iae/datasources/DEPT/Department_SPI_&_GA_Data.html2. Find your department name and double click on it. The password security window

(Figure 3) will open.  This is the password created by the OIAE. Contact your department secretary to obtain password.

3. If you have any accessing problem, contact the OIAE at 2844.
